Thread: I am not a master CH, but I think they need to nerf yas

The CH nerfs was all my doing. Don't get me wrong, I never called for a nerf but I did master the profession. I was a master CH long ago and after the final nerf, I finally gave it up. I was playing to my species strengths so why not be a CH. After the nerf, I became a master Brawler due to the bonus we get in Warcry. Well, now I destroyed Warcry.

My apologies to all professions affected by me. Hopefully with me not being a CH anymore, it will become worth something again.

WOOT! Some1 finally got support and lots of it! A fixing would be nice (im a post nerf SWG joinee however). Either that or just give all levels of animals babies, CH having up to 350 Max Level Taming, and BE having double the animals. I dont know about you but unnerfing sounds much better than a tame krayt dragon let loose in a city. Any way, stop the Nerfing, reverse the Nerfage and beef all the pros that never were any good.

Do I hear a ballot of names with those wanting more CH privs? More mounts maybe? UnNerfing Maybe?

Here are some things the can do to make ch better in pvp

Any pet over lvl cannot be knocked be down. A rancor for example should never be able to be knocked down by by a tk master because if you look as the size differential it does not make sense.

Pets do runaway from the target being attacked as master creature handlers are supposed to be to control their pets whose commands are obeyed even if it means death for them. Empathy 4 says this is supposed to happen but every ch has had times where they have had to stop fighting and chase down their pet and tell it to follow them.

Give pets armor or bring back medium armor for the rare pets

Better pet commands like retreat, stop attacking, guard master.

Also this would also help in the area of pvp. to prevent handlers from being killed when pets are attacking make it so they cannot be db while their pet is attacking their target.

And to those who like pvp I would strongly recommend organized pet vs pet competitions as a way to use pets in a very highly competitive setting.

My master comando friend can one shot my rancor with a heavy weapon. This is a decent rancor to. Plz fix ch. Its hard to get and not really worth the effort. I enjoy it though and do not want to drop just so I can equal up to everyone else.

Roguestar MTK and CH

well as an almost master commando and a dabbling CH (lvl19) i hate nerfs of all kinds.

the combat rebalance has been pushed off. darn it.

a master commando _should_ be able to take out an 11k ham pet in one max two shots - mastering commando takes a long time too, and a TON of skill points - second only to BH.

ill say many profesions need to be fixed/balanced etc - read the commando forums on how we have only one working tree, etc etc. read the squad leaders, and more.

the point rasied here regaring tk's beating everyone is a serious problem - not starwarsy at all!

just jotting down some points as they pop into my head.

So far done Master Marksman, Master CH, Master Comm and Master TKA. So my thoughts -

CH is currently pointless in PvP but very useful for NPCs. Sending in a pet on PvP means it's down in three hits against any master and therefore pointless. Sending in a pet on an NPC is bloody useful as (depending on the pet) it can take a lot of hits while you plug away. Overall, I feel CH is underpowered, purely because of the amount of time it takes to get to Master is in no way reflected in the very limited power you have when you reach it. Medium armour pets would readdress the balance somewhat.

Commando's and Bounty Hunters have the most to shout about right now on the nerf front though. By a long way.

TKA may seem overpowered to some, however, before shouting nerf you should consider that TKA only has ONE form of attack - kinetic. If you happen to be wearing 80% kinetic armour you can laugh off TKA attacks. So yes, they're overpowered in ONE attack, however, that's the only attack they have and it's easy to protect against it. Besides, just stay 10m away from a TKA and that's the end of them due to their limited range...

If you read JustG's letter, linked from the development forums, you'd know that the combat rebalance has been put on hold, half way through.

CH got "rebalanced" in the first step. Now the SOE devs are stopping the process...after gimping CH.
