How did I level it that fast?
Well your right the normal way of hunting with it would take days if not weeks, But there is a short cut that allows you to level a cl 70 in about 5-6 hours, To those that know of it Its called the befriend trick which im not ashamed to say Yes I Did Used It. The intended was is insane and a slap in the face.
Heres how it works, You find a CL 1 player willing to help you out with it "CL 1's grinding dancer or musician works the best" befriend them to your pet and then have them group it. Now your pet can kill yard trash for 4k+ pet xp while the cl1 dances or whatever they dont have to be with you
Step by step breakdown
#1 Meet in bestine or mos eisley or some other noob city
#2 Target the cl1 player and give your pet the befriend command
#3 have the cl1 player say in spatial the pets group command "Only group the cl1 and the pet not you or anyone else over cl1"
#4 now you can either run around the edge of town killing the lvl 1-4 bug, lizzards and what not or you can find a spot to macro grind the higher the pet lvl the more xp you will get on the yard trash, If you want to macro heres mine
Find a good spot and adjust your screen so you get as much of the spawn as possible but nothing farther then 60m away or higher then a cl 5 then runthis macro, I put the icon on the top left button on my toolbar
/target self;
/pause 1;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/pause 1;
/tellpet attack;
/pause 5;
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
thats all there is to it, after you get the first slot it takes about 20 min to get the next, hope this helps you out

Tried first day to get a laval flea guard. it incaped me and killed my skiff on about the 6-7th tame fail It aggroed me 2 of the 7 times. Then it despawned before I could try again leaveing me stranded with a dead skiff a long way from the mining outpost

2 options I am thinking of:
#1 Growing it to full size (how big do they get? I didn't even bother to look at an adult) and using it as a giant mount
#2 if tanking purposes, if training it to mount stops it's growth, I would rather it be the smaller size for a tank so it doesn't obscure what I am attacking too much
Final thought, should I even make it a mount at all because of the current problems with using mounts in combat (which I still hope they fix)
Any thoughts on this guys and girls?
Oh and though mine didn't have any inte abilities, I can confirm that it's random specials included Bleed, hamstring, blind and it has on rare occassions done an AOE attack

hehe that is a super idea! infact once we have a little more concreat info as to stats, specials, random attacks or even AOE's I iwll be doing that. Yoroshiku

I am confused, How did you get a pet and in 1 day train it up 12 training abilitites? That would have to be well over 4mil xp on that pet and impossible to do in one night. Am I missing a way to level a pet quickly?
I was a bit confused too. I will deffinetly try this as soon as I acan. thought I can report that on my lvl69 lava Strider(I hope thats rigth..sooo many I keep findingt hat are just a few levle too high) with agression lv 3, I was able, apparently, to learn the skill after killing three crazed looters/bandets. I read soem where else that thi swas happening, but when I jokenly checked, there it was. I was amazed at the ability to nto only grab agro, bu to tank. At one point it had 3-5 lvl787s as well as a bandit leader pounding on him, and he jsut stood there, takeing little damadge. thougth I think it was a fluke as when I tried to repeat it, we started to get owned. oh well, looks like we are in to a new phase.
i trained my flea guard as mount after the 1st level (it just had the minimum size for a mount).
i leveled it up now to the 5th level and its now the size (maybe slightly bigger already) then the normal fleas - so training as moutn havent stopped its growth. beside the lair problem (mounts only attack for a short time) i never ran into problems with it in combat (very randomly it uses an aoe attack which can be confusing in a non aoe group
