all banthas also have shaggy coats and horns, which the new banthas do not. also, all banthas can't climb trees, while the new banthas can.

I'm not sure that traditional bantha wisdom is enough to allow the assumption that the new variant will be mountable.

They have cat rider NPCs on naboo, and the loading screen for those cats even says they are riden. Perhaps they will actually make them ridable.

Personally though, I want my ravenous torton to be mountable.

They also have a knockdown special attack for pets.............we know how that works

i don't know if anyone has seen the new creatures i believe coming out with CU...there's a pygmy rancor, that they talk about being mounted. now, wouldn't that be cool.

Unfortunately i think this is as good as it gets for us lowly CHs(in the eyes of the DEVS anyway).It doesnt look like anything will change on that anytime soon

All that I have heard of the Kashyyykian bantha is the blurb from the stratics chat the other week. As far as I know, it is NOT confirmed as a tamable, a mount, and/or a reuse of the existing bantha skeleton/assets. If there was an announcement to the contrary, I missed it.

Also keep in mind that we haven't technically been promised a new mount for RotW (though I really hope we get at least one). The premature "new mount" thing was from a story IGN hastily broke prior to the official announcement, and may have contained inaccuracies as a result. All official press releases regarding this expansion have made no mention of mounts.

The wookiee bantha thing is pretty obvious. They already have the mount animations worked out for that skeleton, ie not a whole lot of work, andit is wookiee therefore it fits with the expansion. Why else does Ronda go on about some random creature on kashyyyk. That only makes sense if that creature will play a significant role in the expansion, likethe new mount.
