Ok folks if the people who follow this care lol. Judging by the hits its being watched so i'm adding a few things to help.

First this is a client issue I am positive of it now. That being said don't expect apatch notesaying anything about fixing it. What you will see is "Improved Client Stability" It is one of these patches that will fix this issue and many more.

Some tips that may help.

People report logging out helps so I would log out for at least 20min on the planet you wish to tame on.

People also have had luck with the /tame command after getting the "can't tame that message"

I have seen that groups and speeders seem to have an effect on the clients stability, although most ch do not group for taming days,I would suggest on those days you want to tame. Try and avoid grouping. if possible try to avoid long trips on speeders (Ya easier said than done lol). Maybe using a mount might be better I have yet to experiment with this but through personal observation I can safely say the longer you fly around on your swoop bike the larger the chance on the client being offset on where your character is.

Side note*

People who have pets that stop responding and cannot store them. This is part of the same issue. Your pet will follow you but will do nothing else not even store. you may notice his icon if grouped looks as though hes in combat although its not always rhis way. Only logging out for a long duration will place it back into your datapad. This is part of what the client isconfusing. The reason your pet wont store but will follow is because part of the game thinks you left your pet behind and he is in two places at once as far as the software is concerned. You see him and he followsbut he is not really there lol.

Good CallKo,

Never thought to use the /unstick command for this. it just might work for ch's taming.

Imo schedualing taming days just after server resets would probably be best for people looking for anything special. resetting the servers should help stability with the client for a while.

Posted this in another thread, although I am against using any exploits considering the problems we all are experiencing I think what I am about to say is just helpful and can be morally overlooked as an exploit.

I experienced for hours last night that using camps and sitting in them for a period of time (15min or so) then disbanding the camp or leaving it, allowed me to call pets and vehicles anywhere on the planet without timers. It wouls seem to last about 30min or so. Guess the game things your still camped lol.

I say use it while you can, camp often folks. No timers may help alot lol.

I had a problem yesterday that is almost certainly related to this topic. When I tried to throw a trap at a narglatch I would get the "Can't use traps on NPC's" type of error. When I attacked with my rifle, neither myself or the narglatch took damage.. even though the combat spam indicated damage.

I was near a player city so I went over to logoff/logon and the moment I crossed the city boundry I started taking damage, so that is another trick to get the server to recognize where you are.
