When I got in the game at launch I chose a wookiee because of their CH bonus and I've never looked back. I was a CH before the nerf, during the nerf, and after the nerf and I am still one now. No doubt I will still be one a year from now. I love CH, love my pets, and love the flexibility they give me while hunting.

This forum scares me however. I hate hearing negativity, and people bashing a profession I love, and it morphs me into a very negative person myself. My inner evil wookiee comes out. I usually burn myself trying to put out the flames that evil one starts.

Regardless of that I lurk and follow the Beast tales and keep my eyes out for those rares that people list here. CH has a lot of excellent posters and I regret that I am too overly sensitive to fully enjoy this forum. For those who do post, keep up the good work. It is not just the vocal ones you are delighting, there is a silent mass of us watching and reading. (cue spooky music)

It's great to see these type of posts, because I do still believe Creature Handling is the most intrinsically fun and engaging profession in SWG. Which is not to say we don't have issues (because we do), but the core gameplay of CH has the amazing ability to attract and retain people from so many demographics. Pets are just plain fun to a large number of people, all number balancingand bugs aside.

But yes, please don't ever be afraid to post your (constructive) thoughts and feedback. Agree, disagree, like, dislike, it's all valuable. As long as you keep it constructive, yourideas will be heard. Which will, in turn, encourage others to post their thoughts.

I think the reason so many people are going back to CH is because it offers so much content in a game that is basically one long grind

I started CH on my original server (about 6 months ago) but gave it up mid-way to try other templates (partly due to frustration). After six months of playing, I realised that CH offered probably the most content (profession wise) in this game. I started a toon on another server and am currently 2 2 2 3 CH along with Fencer. Its been sooo much fun. I was struck with awe the first time I rode my savage humbaba mount in Coronet.

There is so much I still have to learn about the profession. I just figured out the other day that my Boar wolf has stun as a special attack. I was even more amazed to see how often he actually managed to land them on Mokks and Jantas. I have learnt to use this to compliment my fencer - as a fencer, stun is one state that I cant land on my opponents. Its little things like these that have added so much content into this game for me. This is one profession I am mastering and keeping.

I've played a BE/Doc (now BE/Rifleman) on Starsider and a CH/Fencer on Kettemoor. I've always found the CH profession enjoyable. Trying to doBE/CH justtook forever to kill lairs tho. I also didn't know until the last few weeks that KD/Dizzy was workingon the pets. It was quite a surprise to see a stormtrooper getting KD/Dizzy while shooting with the rifle and that's when it hit me...wow, my doggie must of done that with the KD/Dizzy I made it with, its fixed....CH can be kinda cool with the specials options again. So time to start playing my guy on Ket a bit more. So ya, a fencer doesn't always need a pet but it has always been more enjoyable especially since I avoid buffs and just stick to the food/drink/spice thing. Too bad the BE that made all my pets on Ket gave up BE tho. Since Iknow the DNA formulas I wanted it made it kinda easy to work out a deal.
