But, if they hadn't taken away the buffs from the entertainers they wouldn't have to come up with something new. Instead of planing things and seeing if they work, they come up with an idea, through it in testing, and if it doesn't work just right say "Oh well, we'll just fix it in another publish." But it just keeps getting worse.

Ok things which would work are:


1) Buff to increase pet run speed

2) Buff to increase pet attack speed

3) Buff to remove pet calling timer

4) Buff to improve Taming Wild creatures

5) Buffto improve Taming Vicious creatures

to be honest i dont think ch's need inspiration buffs, we do ned to be fixed but if and when thats done ther wont be any buffs we would wnat that would acutalyl be added as i cnat see any of these getting a grene light


+max called level so we coudl get bigger pet sout in pairs/triplets and evne clal our pre cu tamed that got levle nerfed (gaping spdier recluse) i suspect this owudl b econsiderd overpowering and woudl never get coded


pet speed buffs (or any other buff that affects pets)given its the player who gets buffed it might well be a coding nightmare to icnrease a pets speed fomr a players buff youd hve to buff th epet and we all knwo what happens to pet buffs whne we store tmh eor they autostore


ch armour buffs mch only boost to defences offsetting our total lack of any defence mods in any of our profession trees and giving us a fighting chance if we're agrod (for some reonas i jsut cant get a pet out if im agroed unexpectedly and i wind up fighting WITHOUT MY PETS AND ITS THE ONLY COMBAT PROFESISON I CNA THINK OF WHER HAVING COMBAT START DISABLES YOUR SKILLS)

Wat would inspire me hmmm............ Well if they made a baby of every animal that way i could actually find an acklay, instead of killing it, u know those small little overpowerfull animals we would all love, Or if we already do, including the nexu, and the reek, u know those super creatures that wreak havoc.



May the force be with us.....especially after pub 19, its like the empire is trying to hunt down the creature handlers instead of the jedi.

honestly it would be a bigger suprise if they would stop with all the sparkly shiney stuff and just fix stuff I would love to see at least three publishes of actual fixes and not hotfixebecause of said fix but hard core fixes of everything that is currently broken and has been broken since launch


every little thing from the back door of moenia cantina to our pet issues to mission bugs you name it it needs to be fixed well lets see some fixes and no more new speeders paintings or plaques heck I would give up veteran rewards for a year to see the fixes take place


and that would inspire everyone

Frankly, I have NO INTEREST AT ALL in any CH-specific entertainer buffs.


What I want is BF retained and made more debilitating as it increases, so that entertainers have a reason to be in this game and so that mindless combat twits are FORCED to come out of their afk grinding macros and be at a keyboard to interact with other players.

I think one of the Devs tried being a CH once and found it too hard, even with their Dev cheat codes, so they decided to slowly do away with us.


And I'd still like my Fire Breathing Giant Peko Peko.

No, but there aremindless twits among combat oriented characters (and I'm level 80 MCH/Master Pistoleer right now, so that's pretty much pure combat) who the devs claim "hate" entertainers because of the requirements to cure BF, when the REAL problem is wound cures due to the grotesque meganerf of the medical profs in the CU. At least they're removing the penalty of wounds from space combat at the same time, which was creating armies of walking wounded with no one to heal them since they made it so there is no reason for doctors to be in medical centers by removing all out of combat XP gain from the gain, an astonishingly stupid idea.


The other hilarious, absurd claim of the devs is that they don't want to "force" interaction, so they're eliminating BF so that people will come into the cantinas of their own free will to get buffs, rather than "forcing" them with BF healing. Meanwhile,it is obvious that one of the intentions of the CU (and the nerf of the ability of pets to pull) is to further require grouping and discourage solo play.


I go into the cantina regularly to get inspired, but the thing about BF is that it is an elegant way to simulate a real world phenomenon and if used properly could be a mechanism for dealing with zerging. But the devs WANT there to be zerging, apparently. It's a futher degredation of the virtual reality of SWG and its transformation into an online FPS where there are no consequences for death...you simply die in PvP, clone, and head back out with no negative effects. It further cheapens combat and bleaches meaning from it.

Thanks for the ideas that have been put forth so far. I can certainly understand the frustration you guys are feeling, and this has afforded me the opportunity to learn more about the profession and other people in it.

I've started gathering information from all the Inspiration threads I started, so I'mll be checking back on this thread often. Keep coming up with ideas!

I'd like some sort of buff that allowed me to lure a baby away from an aggro mob. A lure buff. This way if the baby aggro'd on me I have a few seconds to run before the adults one hit kills me (creature handlers get no inherent defenses. )


The buff could be rated on a range. If I listen or watch an entertainer long enough the range of my lure will be longer.


The buff would have to have a long timer as well. It takes forever just to find a highend baby. I can see me running around like a chicken with my head cut off because I only have 15 minutes to find a baby bull rancor before my buff runs out.


I'd pay an entertainer good money for a ranged lure that lasted an hour or so.
