nothing like an angry mob to brighten your day.....This has to make the devs feel real good about their work. Is this happening on any other servers?

Corbantis, about 10pm ishI flew to Theed to pick up some last min things, Bad idea I landed in the middle of a mob trying to crash the server in protest.

Chilastra seemed rather calm apart from the man who ran around theed saying the apocolypse is coming and that we must pray for our salvation....

People seemed spiteful, bitter, generous to beggars, but had a small degree of hope left.

Tis a good thing a protest didn't happen on theed, Rallys (like the pet crawl we have planned) are alright, but angry massive protests which make planets crash mustn' make people too happy....

Intrepid was pretty much a ghost town, but Bloodfin is pretty fun right now. Rancors, Jedi, and jet packs are in full force at C-Net.

Guys there are logical reasons for the ghost towns.

1. Players looking to get a heads up on test center.

2. Players have very little to do until the CU. Most people spent the last couple weeks getting ready, and now are just waiting for the bus to arrive. Especially those that recently respeced themselves in case the respec is a one shot dealy.

3. Players who are not cinched up and ready are out getting all the xp they can so they can switch with more ease.

Personally I have not noticed this on Sunrunner infact yesterday I saw alot of players online in places I do not usually see people. I saw 20 people in mos espa 30 in mos eisley and well over 300 in cnet that I saw. I even saw six guys in anchorhead planning out a base attack.

Now sunrunner is a bit more laid back from what I gather then other servers, but the server does have a strong veteran pressence and a strong noob pressence, and I saw equal numbers on. I even heard alot of anticipation for the revamp from both camps. So the only conclusion I can draw is some people are just trying to antagonize for the sake of it. I call this the hitler syndrome. You know where in world war 2 he flooded berlins subway tunnels where refugees were hideing out of spite. Thats what is going on here someone hates the way the new system will work, and he or she just wants to poison the water.

Facts are this protests are often done like riots. A few protagonists rile some people up. That drags in the curious. Followed shortly by the anarchists who would like nothing more then to see a server crash in the name of chaos. They usually scream the loudest and scream incoherent slogans. This brings out the socialists with delusions of leadership, and slowly try to take over the group with suggestions and wild ideas. These award winners spread the word of the protest and when in doubt trick players into adding mass to the protest. With claims like a dev is giveing stuff away in theed. These people generally drag in confused and overwhelmed players that eventually cave to peer pressure. Finally the sight seers come out of the woodwork. We know the guy who took screenies in fort tusken. They are there to get an arsonists feal of exileration, the picture, and a cute story.

I was at a similar protest with the cu delay late last summer, and from my general impressions. I would say only half the people were there out of any sense of real moral outrage. The rest just got swept up in the excitement. Thats why these things are not held in say wayfar. The organizer almost always wants to suck more people in like it lends credence to the entire event.

Can't see all the spam, but it seems as though there's not actually that many people protesting, in fact it seems as if more than one of those spammers is asking for the other peoples' stuff.

Actually you cannot see how many there were because of all the spam. In the end a preliminary count of mine showed an estimated 35-40 players with about 25-30 creatures, 35-40 speeders and swoops, and a handful of droids, POor DE's cant even catch a break in riots can they?

The funny thing is, that server has about 1000+ people on it or some really large number........Sort of sad it takes only 4 percent of them to crash it :/.

My friend was on Sunrunner in Coronet on Monday night. She told me that at one point in the night... everyone that was spamming got transported out to the middle of the lake that is west of Coronet. Wish I was there to see it. = /.
