I'm pretty new into my template. I had Master pistoleer / Master CH for a while, I like the BH/MCH/Pistoleer combo much better. Defenses are a bit better and the accuracy is much better so I can run around shooting.

I don't have any LLC yet, its a fun weapon but not too versitile. I havn't tested the speed too much. I havn't gotten BH pistlols 4 quite yet but I seem to be at 1sec for all the attacks I have avialable already. I do want the torso shot though for the fire+bleed staking. If I don't need all the speed I'll likely dial back on the pistal sances. But getting speed and melee defense seems a good deal and once I had ground out all that combat xp to master pistoleer it was the line I least wanted to drop. (I mastered BE in between pistoleer and my current template). I'll probably drop some of the pistoleer extras to do the Jedi force sensitive quests.

Anyway my template is... master ch/ master marksman / novice medic / pistoleer 0034/ BH 0040

At the moment I'm master ch / master marksman / novice medic / pistoleer 0014 / BH 0030 (even at this point I'm pretty happy with it. I miss fan-shot though for pure grinding and meat collection speed.)

By the way, I've seriously considered dropping LLC for Pistol Stances. I picked up a low HAM LLC and did some testing. The thing still chews my HAM up incredibly fast. Other than destroying lairs, I just don't a reason to keep LLC. Do you find PMD, melee defense, and the speed mods that useful? How much Pistoleer do you have?

Personally, if I'm big game hunting on Dant or Dath, I'll be buffed up with pleanty of Brandy. I stay away from spices, but food is a good substitute. The only armor I ever wear vs cretures is my high Kinetic Ubese, though sometimes I choose not to use teh helm if Im soloing just so I regen faster, but that also depends how much brandy Ihave in me too <hic>. I'm Zabrak as well, but with my stat migration dumped all in my mind pools and enough booze and good food in my pack, it gets me through pretty well.

The T21 is by far the most versitle I would say. With its AP3 you dont really need to sweat too much about if your target is 45% res to energy. I do carry a DBX6 with me as a backup, but its strictly for speed so I can spam dizzy/posturedown/threaten/etc to get me out of a really really bad situation. Right now Im 4/1/2/2 Rifleman, 2/1/1/3 CH as well as Ranger Tracker and Master Scout, with just this little bit, PvE usually isnt too much of a preoblem soloing. Now, everytime I get into a solo group though, the missions are in same cases barely doable at best, so there is a lot of room for improvment. The Jawa is nice for PvP though, just beware the high stun Comp, otherwise your suckin.I really cant say much on the SG82 or Spraystick , never used them. I was using a DLT20 then a Laser Rifle, and the only thing the Tusken is good for is to hang on my Trophy wall. The Nightsisters I cant say much on. I've hunted some, but only in large groups and even then, I was much less experianced then, so I couldnt say anything besides they suck LOL. Really cant stand them.

Great replies everyone. I really appreciate it.

As a MRM/CH, what are your armor and specials strategy? Do you spam specials and run out of mind often? Do you wear armor? I enjoy wearing armor partly for the look and partly for protection. My problem is that, even as a Zabrak,I have to eat food (ahrisa) and drink (accarragm and garmorrl) just to equip my 80% composite armor. Since my stomach is full, I won't have room for additional mind enhancing food/drink... so, I'm a little concerned that I'll burn through mind too fast. Any suggestions?

Also, rifles appear to be very limited on damage types. The T-21 (AP 3), laser (AP 2), E11 (AP 2), Tusken (AP 1), and spraystick (AP 0) are all energy... DXR-6B (AP 2) is acid... jawa (AP 1) is stun... and SG82 (AP 0) is cold. So, how do you fare against high end mobs that are highly resistant to both energy and acid? Nightsisters come to mind... many are invulnerable to all but kinetic and blast. Do bleedsstill work on them?

Wow....I'm really enjoying reading all the riflemen's comments. Thanks for giving me an inside look at that profession....I'm still seriously considering dropping TKM.

I just spent 3 hours on Dathomir. Took out 4 rancor mission lairs to cover costs and 2 wild lairs for the hides. Armorsmiths love these hides right now so I made plenty of credits.

It was a wild 3 hours. Bull rancors are able to put verynasty diseases on me and my pets, even on my mind. Without meditate and buffs, I'm a gonner cuz they were doing 150+ wounds per tick. However, I got a full set of doc buffs and only musician (secondary mind buffs) before going so I was not in much trouble. I was actually able to solo (no pets) an ancient bull rancor. It took a lot of time and if anything else had agroed me, I was a goner. But I used power boost, brandy and a lot of patience but I finally took him down. 425 hides in the harvest! WOOT!

Anyways, to the guy that says TKM is the FoTM. I used to bash FoTMers all the time....especially when I was a Master Gimpoleer. Now I see it completely differently. To me, it is SOOOOO much more fun to be competitive in this game than to play a gimped class hoping for things to change. CH is the exception to this though....I love it and will keep it as long as it's fun. But, going from one powerful profession to another is just a simple realization that the devs can "bless" or "curse" which ever profession they chose to.

We can stay with a gimped profession and miss out on a lot of content or, we can switch and enjoy the content that is available. I'm usually PvE but if and when I decide to go PvP, I'm definately going with what the devs have "blessed". This kinda bumms me out though. It would be nice if there was some sort of character development involved and each class could be competitive. However, this is not the case....only certain classes are competitive. Chose one that's not and you are really just donating faction points to the opposition.

I've waited around for over a year for pistoleer to be changed/fixed/improved. And you know what that got me? Cancelling both my accounts outta boredom and frustration. I pay to have fun....so screw the moral and philosophical arguments for staying away from a FoTM profession....if my profession is not fun and competitive, I'll drop it like a hot rock.
