A good method thatI have used in all three of my ch grinds is to get creature management III asap. this alows you to have 2 pets out at once. My method was to keep one pet out for ch combat xp and one pet slot open for taming babies. Its slow and tedious to store your attack pet to make tames. Taming babies is a good way to make extra xp especially when you get 6 or more commands. Each command trained gives 4-500 xp for low level tames and training and1-1.5k on higher level tames and training. The most important thing is to manage the type of pets you use, with only 6-8 pets in your data pad it becomes important to leave a couple slots open to learn new abilities from fresh tames. Also at your level you will advance quickly in your control level, so plan ahead somewhat on the types of pets you want to maintain as constant companions and fighters. I would also point out that at this time a combination of 2-3 pets is far better than 1 "uber" cl70 pet. I recommmend SWGcreatures.com as an invaluable resources for picking and learning about the creatures of Starwars. There is a link for this site in the forums community website page.

That would be:

Novice CH = 12
First tree = 8
Second tree = 8
Third tree = 8
----------------
Total 36

That would be CL36 for babies of non-aggressive creatures and if you take the tree that lets you tame babies of aggressive creatures I think the total for those babies is CL30.

Actually I believe it is 12 per tree giving a total of 48.

You cannot have a CL 80 pet even as a master. 70 is our limit.

Like characters though, they will get a temporary bump to the highest CL in the group. If you group them, however they are then taking up group slots.

Still no. A Master CH (all four skill branches + Master box) can tame and control a CL 70 creature. With 3 skill trees you can control a max CL of 12 (Novice) + 3 * 12 (for each branch) = CL 48.
