Thread: New Mount (link with non game images inside)
everyone in the ch-forum got all excited about how the devs wanted to boost up "their" mounts.
or that one patch that said you could now survey on a mount and all chs went crazy because now "their" mounts would become more useful than a normal speeder.
...not realizing that mounts doesn't neccessarily mean creature-mounts."
+New Mount (for all players I assume) - Good, but where's the new CH only mounts?
+CURB - Good, when ever they get it out, fine with me, I'm in this game for the friends not the CURB
+New Planet - Good, just whish there was more than one new planet but let's not get greedy.
++Too all the expasion whiners, don't buy it. There's no rule saying you have to buy it. If you don't like it fine, don't buy it. I rember there where people saying they wouldn't buy JTL unless the CURB got done first, but how many of them bought JTL. I'll buy this new expansion just for something new to do, even if only foe a month or so.

Episode III Rage of the Wookiees, available to current players for the first time as a digital download, adds a whole slew of content taken directly from the highly anticipated Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith movie, including the adventure planet of Kashyyyk, home to the Wookiees.
Wow, ONE planet, artificial limbs, and ONE new mount, all for the low, low price of $30. Will have to wait and see what it looks like.
I understand that some dont want the expansion, or some dont like the fact that one is coming out where there is bugs to be dealt with. But that is not the purpose of my thread. I respect your opinions about this...but can we keep it to the topic at hand and discuss the mount.
Thanks

And having to buy an expansion pack every 6 months for somthing to do is not fun.its not whining its being realistic and not being a puppet to marketers who are stringing you along.15 dollars a month plus 2 expansions a year while launch bugs are still in gamesorry this math is flawedintead of calling us whiners why dont you just send soe your deed to your house and thank them.some people work hard for they're money and if they can whip an expansion out this soon then they could have fixed all the bugs since launch by now too.
Actually I wasn't talking about you when I was talking about the whiners, but I quess if the shoe fits.
I don't think I even read your post before I posted, I was more talking about the general reaction I'm seeing on the boards.
The funny thing is, I, as many of you, read other boards for other games and I see a lot of the same "this is bull, this sucks, we are being ripped off" posts about those games too. All MMORPGS have thier problems this game is no different.
So bottom line if you don't think the expasion is worth it then don't get it. They have stated a long time ago that they have seperate teams working on CURB/Exp/Game Play/ ect, so it's not like they just stop working on the CURB to put this out.
Something new to do every six months works for me, I have too many other things to do in RL so I only get to play about 4-9 hours per week at best. So for me, things go a lot further then they do for most players. It will actually take me a full year to get Jedi like it porably should, rather then the 1-2 months it takes others.
I play this game for the friends in game that I have, not the CURB or expasions, or new mounts, so it's more important to me that things get done right rather than done as fast as possible. Look at the last few months of publishes, they've made massive improvments to the game and it's all coming togther now with the expasion and up coming CURB.
I feel they know that there is much that is needed to be done still, but I also feel that they have shown a effort to make the game that players want.
It seems people are taking thier fustrations out on the expasion, I say bring it on give me something else to do while they work on the other stuff I'm waiting for. No body here is getting hosed, SOE isn't an evil crop. giant trying to fool you. SOE wants the game to be fun too, so you keep playing. Right now, they are doing what they can to get to the point where the game is more fun. This game is never going to be done, there will always be a new expasion, a new something, a new peice of content, revamps of old content, ect.
All in all it's just a game. I'm sorry if I offened any of you, I respect your opinons and views, /bow.
As for the new mount, just whish there was a CH only mount in the mix too.
(off topic) Hang in there man....these type of games are more of what you make out of it then what is there for you to actually grab onto (if that makes sense).
This team however really is much better then most games (MMORPG's) out there. They do of course have flaws like everyone...and of course not everyone will agree all the time with each other on how things should get done. But I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt on this....they obviously have been planning this expansion for a decent amount of time. I do find it pretty interesting however to hear that it will be released in about 2 months time when this is the first we even heard that it existed. We knew about JTL for much longer of a time period then this thing. I look at it as a very pleasant surprise.
During that time however with them working on this new expansion we really have gotten alot of issues worked on...a ton of advancements in the game...alot of things people had wanted since day 1 (not all of it..but a good amount)...and we also launched a Very successful first expansion with JTL. JTL has gone off very good and that beta team (i was there for all of it) worked their butts off to make sure it was done right. Things of course had to be tweaked here and there...but it was pretty solid. It is not like we have been waiting in Limbo getting nothing in game while they worked on the new expansion...that is definately not true and I think you could agree there.
I am apart of the CURB and I guess this new Expansion for testing as well....We wil be very vocal if things are going bad...but give it a shot. Everyone wants to make it the best for us all even the devs
