Thread: Fellow Creature Handlers, what do YOU want to see out of the combat upgrade?

i keep seeing people who don't use their pets at all even if they're master because they "can do all those specials by themselves". while being buffed the tank-factor doesn't help that much either, we don't even need to talk about the damage anyway.
it would be great if the bigger pets had more strong area attacks or attacks which do apply more than just one state.
another idea for the change of specials might be, that pets are cappable of learning more than just 2 specials and you get the ability to teach more powerful specials while you go up in the ch-tree.
as master you could maybe even teach some special-combos which you can activate with one command.
as a ch we really need more fitting pets for every situation, changing many pets' kind of damage would be a step forward, you can't use a pet against a mob or a player which or who has good kin-res even if the damage of pets would be greatly increased. let ch's decide themselves in what direction they want to go with their own unique selection of pets.
bes should be able to create those pets with different damage types as well.
another thing that has always bugged me was the additional pets +2 you're gonna have as master...it just doesn't matter, every pet you can put out with that won't help anything at all since it will only be a level 20-30 pet and those are absolutely useless even against medicore tough mobs because of their lack of armor.
make a master that what he should be, something outstanding compared to other chs, he should be able to pull out fierce creatures and not only one of those.
one last thing i'd like to mention is that it would be useful for chs if ALL mountable pets were usable by any player even the non-chs for mounting purposes only. a ch could actually make some money by taming wild pets and selling them that way.
or let the chs be the deliverer of the dna-samples to the bes, at least we need ONE way to make some cash, don't we?

2.how well CH works with dabbeling ie.. I can’t master both my fav profs on the same toon (commando and CH)
3.how well a MCH/Mcombat prof work without armor or buffs while hunting…
4.group with a MSL and see if pets get healed with the formup command and get any other SL bonuses:

1. Pet damage output only consists of kinetic.
2. They have no armor piercing.
3. They do not hit hard enough.
4. They do not hit fast enough.
5. They usually stop attacking when the CH is killed, they do not protect to the death as they should for theirmasters. Thus the reasonspetscan and are ignored in a PvPbattle.
Some armor for our pets perhaps. What I would like is for our pets to be feared. For the CL of a pet to actually mean something. I want a Rancor to make people think twice before they attack it...
I agree. Even in PvE pets are too weak. The galaxy is a large and diverse place. No reason something can't have evolved to spew acid, breath flames, Zap the crap out of its prey (a la Electric Eel). Fixing the specials would be real nice too. In the Star Wars continuum, creatures have typically been very powerful and exotic, with a wide variety of ways to kill and mate and generally exist. Give creatures from Tatooine Heat resistances, Creatures from yavin electrical resistances, creatures from Lok Acid defenses, creatures from Corellia and Naboo kinetic resistances. Make creatures from Dathomir and Endor resistant to just about anything.
I would alsolike to see a system of bonuses based on creatures beingnatural enemies.
Think about it. Wrix and razor cats have evolved hunting Humbaba, murra, etc. They should get an attack bonus vs. herbivores, being natural enemies. Rancors should get a bonus vs. aggressive enemies, as most of their prey is pretty mean. Give the herbivores natural defenses when grouped, the Herd Mentality. Give stalkers bonuses when used alone, take them away when grouped. Throws in a little more strategizing there.
Rancors need not be the uberPet, they are simply the most visible example how just how vicious the galaxy can be.
