We need to discover the method of acquiring this necklace and/or any related item that might be necessary to make it and/or any related quest.

During Beta, we were told that there would be 5 levels of post-70 taming. 72, 74, 76, 78, 80. This may have been altered of course, but the Friday Feature showed us the apparant CL 80 item we need. There may be 5 variations on the necklace, and they may or may not need to be acquired in order. Of course, they may have just decided we need one item, and it's the necklace from the Friday Feature. The fact is, we don't know, as nobody in Beta found anything.

Also, the hint "as a kid I liked playing with my rubik's cube" was given. Which I would assume means that the taming method/items have something to do with the Chu-Gon Dar cube, which can be acquired from a quest.

SPOILER ALERT! (From SonGouki's excellent Complete Reference Guide)

1) Symbols of Chu-Gon Dar [non-combat, risky]
Rewards: Chu-Gon Dar Cube, A Barely Glowing Old Cup, A Barely Glowing Datapad, A Barely Glowing Worklight
Start: Ithes Olok, [435,-1215], Mensix Mining Facility, Mustafar
Part 1: Find the Ruins - Located at [326,-2975]
Part 2: Locate the Tablets - Ancient Tablets: [336,-2981], [329,-3023], [262,-3021]; Radial menu: “Copy tablet”
Part 3: Return the Notes - To Ithes Olok

I'd say that's a good place to start. Please post all info here, I'll update this post as verified info comes in! Let's get our CL 80 pets!

As a former tailor, the style of the necklace I saw in friday feature was the same as the elegant gemstone necklace.

It can be worn by men or women (though it is more feminine)and there is an Ithorian style. I don't think there was a wookie version of the tailor made necklace though (hopefully they though of it when they put it in).

Yes that IS the quest you do for the cube, when you go back to him he gives you cube and 3 items that make some "ok" stimpak. This is why I stress that it's gonna be some time before were tamin above CL70, so we all need to support the cube database to find the recipe for the necklace!

Heres some encouraging news. Just looking at that website and doing some math, there are over 300,000 different combinations of items that can be put into the cube (300,763 to be exact). Now since we all know the developers did NOT make over 300K items for this one expansion you have to assume that several of those combinations have the same output. Now it cant just be a random process, it would be way to easy tosimply gather a bunch of items and throw them together untill you get the item you want. So there must be a method to this cube, and I intend to find it.

I'm sure this has been beaten to death on the forum already, but are MCH's in general making any stink directly to the dev's about ONLY CL80 MCH being able to use this enticing item?

How can one master of a profession be penalized for being master? I'm a MBE/MCH and am so outright PO'd that my class and others have been totally excluded from this just because we didnt want to jump on the combat bandwagon.

Any news at all?

Blackguards, Salvage Bandits, Striking Miners, Poisioned miners, Blackguard Force Weilders. The tralus creatures have been dropping them for me also. Get one item for about every 15-20 kills.

That is an issue you should take up with your BE Corr, he is the one who should point out to the devs that BE needs to be a combat prof...seeing as how they are needed for base take downs!
