Greetings,

You may want a MBE to try and resample it. They could combine the DNA from it with something else and perhaps bring it down to or under 70. Otherwise, it will make a nice piece of furniture, but that is all.

Let me point out thatPem is aCH.

A BE, who just gave important information.(risk that they wont get any at all and the deed will poof and it will be gone forever.)

Now how can you bite her head off for that?

Unless you want someone to start a thread "Are all CH so rude." Attacks like that serve no purpose other than to flame.

I've said it once and I'll say it again; the animosity between BE's and CH's makes no sense...so stop it!...don't make me pull this car over!...LOL

I remember taming a deed I once made that was too high in CL, and it only became uncallable after it went over CL70...maybe they fixed that-- this was after the BE and CH revamps IIRC.

Shouldn't that be, DON'T MAKE ME TURN THIS CAR AROUND!!! but then again, my Mom used the don't make me pull this car over, and if she did, she tanned our backside like you wouldn't believe. lol

There is only one person here badmouthing Nancy, and he is only doing so because she defended Vert in another thread. And he is pissed off at Vert because CHs got nerfed and Vert didn't drive right over there and beat up the devs.

Wallach,

I read Digi's comment. He directed a CH answer that it could not be tamed. He also offered an alternative. He did not turn in into a BE tutorial. Something NancyJ stated just the other day in the now missing Why are BE Rude thread that is appropriately handled in the BE forum. While at the same time she stated that BE question such as can I get a BE on were not. You cannot set certain rules for acceptability in one forum while disregarding the same rules in another. She is a correspondent and should know better.

Pluto, you've been bringing up good points in the past, and while I may not agree with your tone, I agree with the sentiment. However, your last few posts have been way over the line. Maybe you could lay off the coffee get some Valium or something...you've been very nasty, and we have enough trouble with our profession without the constant sniping at everyone you seem to be reduced to. If you can be constructive, please try. If not, maybe you can troll another board, because that's what you sound like now. You had my respect for a long time, but I'm rapidly losing it, and you're losing what support you had here among the other posters...

I've not really paid much attention to the profession forums, why is there animosity between CH and BE? I go out of my way to cultivate a good relationship with BEs on my server if only because it is in my best interest. I just picked up a Lvl 42 Gurreck this evening with 80% stun resist, 60% kinetic, energy, blast and 30% heat and cold, 10k HAMs... ergo I think BEs rock

Nyria's comment seemed perfectly on topic, Pluto's just made him look like an anus...

Most of the animosity between BEs and CH is with the old skool CH's

A lot of the new CH's I see just accept BE pets as they are now because they've never known anything different.

When the clone line of BE was revamped it was broken, but it wasnt something that was obvious at first, but as BE's learned how to work the new system BE pets totally blew wild animals out of the water, which kinda turns creature tamers into 'rares collectors' since BE pets win hands down against wild pets.

When cloning is fixed, hopefully BE pets will be back down a lot closer to the 15% better than a wild pet of the same level that was orginially intended.

There are things that tamed pets have over BE pets sure, there are specials that dont transfer on clones, there are skins that we cant make, our energy and kinetic resists are capped at 60%, but all these things dont make up for the current imbalance between CH and BE pets.

"the animosity between BE's and CH's makes no sense."

Many creature handlers are creature handlers because of the love of pets, taming the wild animal and all that good stuff that goes with it.

There are good memories that go along with many tames. I still remember the first wild Gurreck I tamed, and that has to be around 9 months ago. It took me around 45 minutes to get him to accept me, but when he did, a great memory came to be.

Nowbring in the BE equation. Back before the great nerf, it was pretty common for BE's to troll our forums, flaming and one starring many positive ideas about our profession, simply because it hurt their bank account.

In a nutshell, throngs of them wantedour wild pets to suck, so we would be forced to buy from them. When the great nerf came, it also was around the time the BE profession was fixed (and it was long overdue). SOE gave them what they wanted, at the expense of us having fun.

Greetings,

First of all, Wallach give it up. You are now bordering on idiocy. You did not damage my ego or smite me with words of wisdom and impenetrable arguments. I simply tired of it.I had the first post deleted, not because I was oh so hurt and stunned by or /sarcasm brilliant /end sarcasm "retort" but rather it was nothing but a flame war. I could have spent the time refuting all you were critical of, but decided everyone had had enough. The second "MUAHAUAHUAHUAH" post you made was incrediblyinfantile by virtue of it's name alone so you could gloat over your so called "victory". I had that thread deleted because it was simply an extention of the fist. Please stop being childish and grow up. It's time to get out of the sandbox. BTW, if you thought that debate was intellectual, you are sadly, sadly mistaken. Now that you have all the information you need, we can get back to our regularly scheduled topic. My apologies again everyone, he just will not let this die. It seems I am not the one wih the damaged ego.

Back on topic.

Nancy,

I have a RL partner who is an MBE, andI try to be more informed about your profession than the average Joe. Every profession has its challenges and BE is no different. BE and CHhave their fair share of people wanting things and not really undertanding what they are asking for. When I use my Master Creature Handler tag, and I make my character searchable, I expect tells, emails, etc. from people wanting things. From the BE forum and what I read of your post in the now deleted "Are All BE's So Rude?" post and from what I have witnessed in the BE forum, it seems BE's shouldn't have to put up with this. So, you're waking up in the clone center because a Mutant Rancor killed you as you were trying to sample, and someone asks you a newbish question of you, remember we have to live through the same types of things.

There are many ways that BE's can avoid having attention drawn to themselves. My partner does not do so because she chooses to lead her online life that way. She answers all sorts of questions, some basic, and some more advanced. She chooses to do the work she wants and does not let anyone bully her into it. That's not to say she is impolite when doing so. Courteous and respectful is her manner.

Now, of course neither the CH or BE forums are trade forums. Do neither of them have the occassional trespass? No, and as correspondent you should kow that much better than I. But treating those who transgress disrespectfully is not the answer. The same goes for people asking noobish questions. Yes, you have done a very nice job with the BE FAQ. I have actually read it from end to end.I still refer to it from time to time to see if anything has changed. And yes, everyone should read the FAQ before asking a lot of questions, but life is not perfect. As had been stated before, a relative minorityread theforums to begin with.We have the same issues here. I don't see much roasting of those people here.

Now how does this relate to this thread? Well, I enjoyed your post very much. I personally feel it is very relevant to the information I provided as a Non-BE. Actually, it taught me something I was not completely aware of. At first when I saw your name I wasn't expecting something so friendly. But, it was a wonderful post, full of information and respect. Well done and thank you.

I for one would like to see better realtions between BE's and CH's. I rarely find BE's on Shadowfire making creatures which are not the cookie cutter variety. This is one reason I convinced my RL partner to play and become a BE. It took some convincing, but she is enjoying it wholeheartedly. Pets are relative low return on investments, especially considering the time it takes to gather DNA, make templates, etc.Money is made from tissue sales. Many BE's are interested mainly in that, especially if they are without combat skills. I would hesitate to even guess what percentage that would be.

I am sorry if this post sounds harsh. Itis not intended to be so.I have witnessed the BE forum in both it's good and bad times. Just as I hope you have the CH forum. Animosity and toleranceare not what I would like to see. I would prefer acceptance and cooperation. I feel this particular thread has showed both sides of that. But, obviously the two professions have a long way to go.

I hope to see more of your posts here in the future.

Good Luck to All,

let's not forget the brokenly-powerful-beyond-all-reason 9k ham non-ch animals. especially the ones running around with 50% kinetic.

Actually, try this Non-CH hermit spider.

It is only a second generation pet that I can reliably duplicate. Not sure where the dizzy came from (well, I have an idea), it should have blind and intimidate. Plus they work, I currently have one tamed and it hasn't asked me to adjust it yet (it isn't full grown yet). I have this spider on display in my shop, but I don't sell them. The best non-CH pets I sell are 6k/3.5k/1.5k HAM with 14% kinetic and blast resists and 75 damage, and I feel even those are a bit overpowered in the health department.

actually what? it falls under the same category of brokenly powerful non-ch animals, so i don't see where a correcting tone would apply.
