Thread: What causes CH exp during combat? (is it the same as it was months ago?)

Assume I am doing humanoid missions where the lairs do not spawn any more creatures.
What creature are you using that seems to be doing an area attack? If you are already seeing area attacks work, are you seeing the experience?

I maxed on XP a long time ago, so I cannot answer this.
To the another personsquestion, I am not sure if it gives XP for each creature hit, I think it depends on the attack. If it is an area poison attack I would believe so, due to it taking away damage. A disease attack will give wounds so I am not sure if you would get XP on this.
Screechers do a Area Plague Strike and they do it quite often.

Given this is how it works, could you use the Mantrigue Screecher's area disease to get lots of CH exp on a group of mobs? My main problem getting CH experience is the battle is too chaotic to redirect the pet to other mobs to get the exp. Also I use a graul which doesn't move quickly enough.
If I could get an area attack pet and do missions, I could hose the mobs down with my area rifle attack and the pet's area attack and seriously reap in the exp.
Anyone know if this would work?
Good question. You would think it should.
I use Barb-Wire's pet attack macro, which basically spams specials and I'm finding the pet will attack everything in sight. But that can also include some nearby unwanted things and the lair you may not be ready for.
