Crippling Strike == Posture Down
How long has disease been working for you Barb? It hasn't been for most people, along with poison and knockdown. Maybe it is recently fixed, in which case the devs yet again lost a way to get some much needed publicity with us.
its been working since pub7. my BE gurreck is made with BMB DNA and it only one disease special cam across. it irritates me when it diseases something because that something tends to fixate on my pet too much. normally i dont command the disease to go off but i have used the looping specials macro to set it off on command.
generally what the devs do when they code something to work and it is supposed to be working but doesnt like with the original patch that made most of the pet specials work in pub 5 or 6 (cant remember exactly which) and it doesnt fully work they will include the little bit of code to fix a minor bug without telling anyone. to us it is a major bug to them it is a typo in the code that someone fixed. unless the correspondent makes a huge stink about it these sorts of fixes generally dont get reported in the patch notes. or if it was it was removed because whomever edits the notes thought it was a bug that was fixed a while back and was entered in error so it goes un-noted.
but that is why i asked you if you had tried it post pub 8. just cuz the disease works doesnt mean the rest arent or are. we need to test each one and its going to take more than me to do it. especially the area effect attacks such as bull rancor plague strikes and the frenzied graul bleeds. since we do know that wild pets and BE pets are NOT the same even a one for one clone when anyone does a test please state what DNA was used if you know or just unknown DNA for BE clones. for wild pets pet name is sufficient.

Actually re-reading that shows you are being sarastic, so I guess I will make a fraps vid for you. And if you say I hold no credibility, where are YOUR hard facts? Hmm? Alot more can vouch for it being borked as we've seen, so as I see it I have much more credibility than you.
to be honest - i never thought of looping a macro firing specials over and over again.
thx to Barb though.
firing specials single doesn't seem to work with the desired effect.
i looped the coomands for my Pack Leader and had the 'stunning' effects Barb described.
testing Poison with a BE Kwi i looped just that special but it didn't stick for one time.
having its 2nd special added to the loop it did blinding strike like expected - even with a flashing command floating above its head.
specials like disease or poison only came into effect when the pet got a simple 'attack' command without any specials.
looks like the loop for the more 'common' specials somehow cuts the randomness for poison/disease down a lot.
that's not cut in stone though just my observation/idea/2 cents

Nope not hurting my feelings, I was just right the first time, so I am sorry, you don't have to be. Glad we got that sorted out.
