Not being very big into PVP, I have tried using pets. Most of the time the other players say very quickly no pets. On the rare occasion they do not I have noticed a couple of interesting things. Being a master pistoleer I run around like a chicken with my head cut off. So if you want to take the time to waste my two BE cl35 Razors, with Intimidate, Strong Poison, Strong Disease then I get a 40m jump and never let you get it back. If you keep after me then you will usually get hit with at least half of the pets DOTs. This may not seem like much but with my pets out my DPS goes way up. So PvP with animals while very hard can be done justdont go into it with out knowing your animals will go down, they are just buying you 10 seconds, which is a ton in PvP.

Ysalamari, lol. It wouldn't be bad, but they tecnically can't really attack or anthing like that. You'd just have it sit on your shoulder, lol. THe problem is taming it, since its found on Myrkr. And if we could have Ysalamaris, we'd HAVE to be able to get Vorksnyrs.
That would just rock. You'd be able to agro a non Overt or Non TEFed Jedi because the Vorks can sense force powers.

well guys, remember we can buff our pets, and feed them food to up their HAM to 15-16k EASILY, regen is nice too.
I honestly don't know anyone who still has wild pets. unless they r cheap/poor newbies. Would be nice to still have pets "larger" than their wild version, anyone remember that? man that was fun.
combat rebalance is the biggest excuse dev's are using right now, and well its a good one. so any damage/HAM/resist idea's r pretty much out the window.
can we get it so when i buff my pet and i store it, the buffs will stay, so i can go off planet with them....

It doesn't matter what their HAM is, they still get taken down in no time. I watched a TKA take down a BE'd rancor the other night in two blows. Fully buffed it might have been three. Big whoop.
I use 80% wild animals, and I am far from n00b or poor. I use them because they are the core of my profession, not BE'd freaks. I have two high-level BE'd pets that were free gifts from people leaving the profession, one that I bought before I got those gifts so I could help someone pull good missions and maybe have a chance against a GPS, and one CL5 cu pa that I made myself to ride around in while my other pets followed me. Other than those, every one of my animals is wild caught by myself. Edit: except my thune guardian, that was a gift from marxo, who of course I thank greatly.

Can anyone say its time to start pushing for ysalimiri as a Master level, non-transferable tamable?
This is all I could find on this animal. I remember it from Jedi Knight. That annoying chirrping it made!

What? And kick the butts of l337 powergaming d00ds?
The devs would never allow that. They have to take care of the SOE marketing dweebs' favorite profession.

It's beginning to seem as the best bets for a BH to hunt Jedi are:
- come with some melee ability.
- bring friends (that are covert?)
- see number two-
Because pets can be cut through (literally) fairly quickly I'm still not sure if I should invest the extra 77 points in them or not, even though I think CH would be fun (you know, even when you are not hunting Jedi- you can collect animals and what not).
But the suggestions you guys are throwing up are cool.
What the hell is a Vorksnyr? I gotta look that up.

I think I misspelled it. It is spelled Vornskyr I believe.
They are powerful hunting creatures from Myrkr that can sense the force. That means they can hunt down Jedi by their force powers.

According to some JEdi testers, Jedi mind trick makes our Pets turn and ATTACK US.
In other words, we are fubared AGAIN!
Wondering if Ch and Ranger will just be taken out of the game completely by pub 11?

It might help us CH in PvP if there is no level cap. Sending one rancor at a jedi wont do anything, but sending 3 at the same time will at least stall the jedi from attacking you and then you just attack the jedi when its distracted. But whats the point, the devs only care about jedi

I KNEW IT!
Man these jedi ARE the uber-leet masters, hunh?
There HAS to be something we can do against them. I'm starting to feel like one of those Trade Federation guys at the beginning of EP. 1-
But I guess that's the effect Jedi are supposed to have.
