and I agree with all of you but as I pointed out no matter what critter it is with the high ham all level ten non ch pets are nothing more then meat shields not one of them Ive made or seen made has ever gone over the 110-140 max dmg (and basic specials which sdo not work 90% of the time anyway no matter be or live) any ch can attest your pets rarely if ever hit them max dmg on an opponent so if you get say attacked by a night sister or any mob of npcs over the 3k ham mark and seeing they use specials these pets do not last more then 30-100 secs in a fight and then the owner is basically next and hopefully bursting out. if you really want to compare I compared a gsp lvl 25 to the same pet and the dmg output by the gsp was over double and yes in a dual the gsp won with maybe 25% taken off its health (and my frienzied graul which has a ham of 10600 across the board does 440-600 dmg )
and these pets are completly worthless in PVP I took it down in 20 secs unbuffed and no armor
so yes I agree the ham is high and so is the kinetic but as I said pvp and most pve mobs would take it down in no time these pets are basically just another peice of armor that will not last as long as say ubese or comosite (another arguement for another time ) and as a ch myself I look to other attributes from a pet besides ham (armor, resists dmg and loyalty) in closing most high end pets be they live or bio'd have more then 2 resists and more then a high health bar going for them so any pet a regular ch above novice uses will always be superior to these level ten non ch pets the only thing these pets will outlast are the following minor slude panthers lesser bols/dewbacks which both have 900 hams tops and dmg rating of what 90-110 dmg rating
and lastly I would like to thank you all for voicing a intellegent arguement on this matter and not turning it into a flame fest like most Ive seen it makes me proud to be a ch in this community

I would like to point out since they fixed NPC's specials the rebel the non ch pet was fighting was using a pike which is a kinetic weapon he then used a blaster on the toon I used when the pet was incapped
what kind of pike? they vary considerably in damage type and AP.
the point I was making is: if you're testing CL10 HAM and resists for PvE, then it makes more sense to test vs AP0 kinetic... which means melee-only creature attacks (ranged attacks are damage_type_insertdebatehere).
if you're comparing HAM, then all that matters is duration of survivability... and DPS isn't an issue. but... a pet isn't just HAM. HAM isn't the end of the story, even for a meatshield: add in pet DPS, plus player DPS, plus healing, plus buffs to regen stats... a CL10 pet CAN last a ridiculously long time in most fights, but at a certain point it becomes similarly ridiculous to stay in combat. a player with marksman: rifles 2 can have a better DPS than a wild rancor. a pet with a noncombat artisan still has the backup of a CDEF, which will shorten the NEED for survival (ie HAM).
the problem with CL10 freakpets isn't the HAM. it isn't the DPS. it isn't a resist value. it isn't any ONE stat. it is a crafting mechanic the devs have acknowledged as 'not working as intended', and it is a CL system that doesn't mesh between wild CL's (which are arbitrary) and crafted CL's (which are 'calculated').
