Using a level 1 for its specials is not a bad idea. I had a lvl 1 that I maxed out it growth and trained it for 3 additional specials giving it a total of 4. If you have a lvl 1 with 4 of the following specials(Hamstring lvl 1, Pinning lvl 1 if it can be found, Imperiling Feint lvl 1, Intimidating lvl 1, Knockdown lvl 1, or Staggering attack lvl 1) then you can pull a few surprises against your foe. Who is going to worry about a lowly little lvl 1 pet nipping at their heals. That is until that get a state placed on them.

It's a great idea.

You've got this little L5 special attack platform that most likely will never draw enough hate to be incapped, but can keep dishing out stuns, KDs, intims and so forth.

And be a serious problem to target to boot.

I figure, why not add a CL1 critter as a matched pair, and outfit with state attack of some kind (thinking blind or stun, but open to suggestions). If he gets lucky and hits, then great. If not, then no harm done.

My plan is to contact a BE and see if they can make a CL1 critter with as much help to Attack value as possible. I don't care about damage, health, or anything else, since he's gonna be squashed if anything happens. Instead, I'm interested in the potential extra special state he might impose on foes.

i've been doing this with a horned rasp, level 2 bird.he's really pretty and came with stun,i gave him vigorous health just in case, and knockdown so far. not sure what i'll finish him off with but he's real handy to have out when my other pet(s) don't add up to70.

i'm not sure whether it's changed any, but when i was a BE itwas actually quite hard to get a pet exactly to CL1. more work than you'd expect to makethe lowest level possible. i bet you can find a BE that'll think it's a fun challenge tho. good luck!

I wouldn't gave to chubbas about low level pets before, but now you got me thinking. Need to make my deadly 3 pet combo. High level tanker, mid level attacker, and low level crowd controller. Hmmm......this could be an awsome combo if done right. Hmmmmm.......

Darth Paralope anyone?
