Thread: TH, Rune, JustG or any other Dev: Do you have any clue as to what CH is going through right now?

That's a good summation, but I don't think adopting an adversarial tone ever helps. You shouldn't interpret lack of Dev posting as a lack of Dev interest. In addition to me passing issues to them, a number of Devs do silently read these forums.

Things have been much better lately, but it saddens me when I see lots of posts that break community policies and go on name-calling rants. If I were a dev, I'd be afraid to post in that kind of environment too.

Giventhe Current State of Affairs, I'd be afraid to post in any public thread if I were a dev.

Vert,

When the ID patch went in the Devs posted in the DE forums the fix was incoming. We cannot get things fixed after months and still no one checks in from time to time to bother saying anything. I do not want the chaos of the CH forums past. But at the same time I cannot hold it in any longer. Until autostore is fixed, Pet pathing and something is done about the spawn rates I will not be impressed. As stated in another thread there are no new planets as thought for JTL (or that is everyone's opinion of the interview). We all know that new planets meant new creatures. No planets for the creatures to spawn on leaves me the impression there will not be any new creatures anyway. It is really hard to be told to wait for Combat Rebalance when we were balanced first and knowing that many of the resources are being thrown on a project that does not even include us.

Many well written non-toned posts have crossed this forum as of late. Many of us await the fabled Combat Rebalance and a even less few await the SE:JTL. We have bugs that have existed since the dawn of time. We have bugs that get fixed only to turn around and have them broken again.

Autostoring is a bug that is unacceptable. If everyone's weapons were to disappear it would be fixed immediately. Maybe you do not understand that many of us master CH. We also push a few skill points into Medic so we can heal pets just a bit faster. Leaving Mastering of another Elite at times tricky or even impossible. For the Master CH the pet is the primary and often only line of defense. When this disappears it is instant death. I hope there comes a bug for armor to make it disappear. I guarantee you will fix it before you fix us. That will be the last set of proofs to show how you do nothing to fix us.

We need more defense points in PvE vs creatures. That would at least show that our role is more outdoorsish.

We need the rares to not be so rare as they are impossible to acquire with some effort. 300+ lairs is indeed more effort than needed. The benefits do not exceed the burdens of trying to find some rare creature that seemingly has meaningless stats, OTHER THAN a special CH Badge of Perserverance.

We need to PvP. Some have been effective in it, while some still have trouble. SOE, your magical combat rebalance has waited long enough. Fixing Jedi before fixing parts of the game that have been broken and existed before the first Jedi spawned is likely to alienate most classes. Already the outcry against the Jedi Archives shows that you pay way too much attention to just that one class.

This new warping bug you introduced in an attempt to keep people from exploiting pathing mobs into harvesters is ludicris. I cannot pass through trees so why should AI mobs? My pets way too often get awestruck by shiny rocks that they do not go around for anything. You have totally made the system work against CH. MOBs warping 100 meters away to avoid a death blow is going to be a final straw for PvE.

Since the GCW is broken by design rather than intention you must also take the blame for that as well. Faction Points should be given to Neutral characters who sell to either Faction. They are not neutral if they live in a player City and only by default sale to Players of one faction.

The non-presence of Hutt Faction is one of the biggest turn offs of this game. I was majorly sore with SOE representing this game has having it only to find it was not present.

Devs you have a big hill to climb. For many of us, it appears that you are hiding away and not listening. Communications are always one sided or non-existent. Some day you will have to account for what is going or what went wrong with this game.

JTL cannot fix the bugs in the game. All it can do is prove that you are using a philosophy of "if you cannot dazzle em with brilliance..." . Please fix some bugs.

We are sick of hearing wait for the combat balance as the answer to all of our questions. We have done as you requested and toned down the anger in this forum greatly yet have not heard a word on even promised items. All the Game Breaking bugs of patch 6 for CH have returned in Patch 8.

On patch 2 there was a bug that armor did not protect, it was fixed THE NEXT DAY!!!, why is this bug (autostore) so hard to fix? You have had 11 months plus beta to track it down. It now effects Vehicles (why do you think they aren't repairing and are warping) and droids, will it be fixed when it effects weapons to?

We need more defense points in PvE vs creatures. That would at least show that our role is more outdoorsish. How is it that CH 's know no more about creatures than a 4,0,4,0 scout.

A 1:1,000,000,000,000 spawn rate is unacceptable!!!

I agree completly with what Pluto and Talon posted about CH issues.
Im glad that some good came from 'our' publish, and that good is they learnd that in order to fix proffesins they need to talk to the ppl who play them on a daly basis.

Look at ID and now smuggerls. They have ongoing discussins with the 'red names' and some great stuff has come off it.

Now if only they would go back and look at the CH patch and start over...

Here is the reality of the situation as I have observed it. The Devs know about these problems. The Devs have decided other problems/features have a higher priority."

Indeed. We'll be waiting at LEAST until the correspondent's mini-publish after publish 10. Till then, why are we still doing this to ourselves?

Nice post Pluto. I agree. However it is in vien. I have posted many of the same comments. I have also made many pleas for some sort of developers response even if it is negative and we do not like what we hear. I just want to know they are there. I have never written in an offensive way about CH problems and never insulted Developers. I also have never got a response. NEVER!

I have had some of my posts locked and removed. Someone suggests send e-mails to developers. I have sent polite e-mails for reasons for removed or locked posts. I have also sent Developers e-mails with respectful CH questions never insulting. I never have got a response not even a generic response saying they recieved the e-mails never! Not once! I am really disapointed the no one from SOE has ever responed a paying customers e-mail. Also disappointed they do not responed here anymore to CH. Why did they even put this profession in the game if they never plan to respond to the players who choose to follow it.

I will not complain about the poor service and handling of our game profession. I will not complain about the bugs and the unbalanced CH profession.I will complain about the growing lack of respect SOE seems to have for me as a paying customer by never responding to any e-mail or post I have made about the CH profession. The suggested excuse they get to many to respond is bologne. After all computer on-line games is their profession they should have a way in place to respond to ALL e-mails they recieve.

Don't give us a "bad threads make baby Holo cry" speach, bud. They have to deal with the fact that they've really screwed us over and have a lot to answer to, and they're not. It doesn't take a genius to read their timeline and know that the SOONEST we can expect the autostoring bug to be fixed is August, yet it won't be, to know that we're still going to suck come the combat reballance, that nothing we tame will compare to BE until way after JTL, and that our role in the GCW will always be a joke to avoid Poke-wars again. Maybe they wouldn't have to be afraid to post in such an environment if they'd just own the hell up.

You know what makesME sad? Corros who whine because the people they are corro for are mad, and think we should all just settle down and enjoy a fubared game with no feedbackbecause the Corro has special info, and KNOWS the Devs silently read these forums. I could care less if George Lucas himself silently reads the forums, because THAT DOES US NO GOOD IF THE ISSUES DON'T GET FIXED. Sorry, I'm not going to act like a kissass because the Dev's might be scared to post amongst the people they pissed off, nor do I think you are realistic in expecting anyone else to either.

Considering the Devs themselves created 90% of our issues after the "reformat" of our profession, Hell yes I truly think they don't understand it!

Here is the reality of the situation as I have observed it. The Devs know about these problems. The Devs have decided other problems/features have a higher priority." No we have already been told that since CH's got enough attention (read serious nerfs both to our combat and economic ability) they are not going to do anything to our profession for a while

Look, I wanted this to be toned. Most CH's have toned sentiments towards the Devs. We are getting the Over the next hill treatment. When we ask for something we are told "Oh it's over the next hill". So we run up that hill only to find there is another hill, and another, and another.

We need bugs fixed.
We need content to reduce the boredom factor.
We need confirmation that those things that read tamable really are, and in some cases we need the spawn rates of babies reduced. Read that as there is no confirmation that ANYONE has tamed a Frenzied Graul since the Nerf. And that some creatures have become stealth extinct like the Greater Carrion Spat.

As a note, I am very willing to work with the Devs in a civil manner. We all are. But they have to come forward. For those reading the other forums you will see that what talon stated is on target. The Devs botched and butchered us with no feedback from us. The Devs learned their lesson there. They also learned a lesson with the combat rebalance and likely that is why it is taking so long to complete.

I can make excuses all day long for what the Devs have done. I cannot make excuses for the lack of communication that we recieve.
