Well, I thought that I would give my two cents. I've only been a MCH for two weeks. I started playing SWG in January. Within a mounth, I decided I wanted to ba a MCH. I only play a couple hours a day so it took som time, but I made. I didn't respec to get it. I went through the CU and thought about giving up, but then thought, why should I stop doing somethig I liked. I was lucky to have some friends in my guild that would go hunting with me to help me out. Being a MCH is fun. It may not be what it once was, but what is. Look at the other forums, every other group is bugged in some way. It's part of the game. I'm just going to keep adjusting so that i'm still having fun. We have all complained. Nobody is listening. They tell us that they are fixing things but it doesn't get better. So if you like being aCH, be a CH. I will keep riding my mounts around cities, I will keep searching fornon-ch mounts and giving them to my guildmates. I love seeing them ride them around our city.

Our city is south of Karen, so I find Female Narglatch's all the time. I train them and if I find a new CH, I will give them one. I figure that it will help them see what a good pet can be like. I had someone give me a level 23 pet long before I could use it, it gave me someting to work for.

I know I haven't been through what alot of you have, but I know I wiil keep enjoying my pets and doing all the things that make being a MCH fun.

I believe anyone that has played CH has found the profession entertaining, regardless of the state the profession was in at the time. I believe, over time, the veteran players have experienced too many unexplainable changes to the game as a whole. This really applies to all the veterans regardless of the profession they play. You can get a very good idea of this concept by simply going to any of the other profession forums. You will find veteran players discussing events and occurance the newer players have no background for. The older players feel theyhave to adapt. The newer players do not. There is nothing to adapt to for the newer players. The newer players are playing the game as it is, not as it was. The older players want to play the game they remember, not the game as it has become. This is a profound difference between the two.

As these newer players "grow" into veteranhood, they will be the ones creating discussion threads about the state of the game with a background the newer people won't have. The newer people will be asking the same questions we see today, "what's so wrong with the game? I'm having a blast."

It is a never ending cycle. The new replace the old.

I cancelled both of my mch account for this reason.

Pre CURB, I ruled all PVE. I could solo Krayts, hold aggro from ANYTHING and buff my pets to be uber beyond uber with intim and stun. I was a pve god.

PVP I was not so good, but at least I ruled all in PVE, short of a TKA.

The skill has been removed, with my macros I could handle hords of mobs one at a time using the pets to keep the mobs at bay while I used the rifle to take them down. You just cant do that anymore, no specials, no great pet stats.

It is just not fun, and there are no rares to hunt for so why in the world am I gonna go hunting? For money? I have tons of cash, what possible reason is there for me to go attack anything. Rares were the best thing in the game, they are not even rare any more.

I will miss you guys though.

7/21 last day.

That i agree with, im a rspec MCH, i used my alt for it, as i have always loved pets. My alt was a doc dancer to buff me on my jedi grind, 'he' is now paddy, but master doc, mch is so much more fun.

I think the point im trying to get at is, that the vet MCH see what they have lost, i see that in what my melee char has lost. Its all around, not just our pets. But with me being a new master, i have nothing to learn about how to use ny babies to help me, post CU.

Bearing in mind i have no combat, just a doc and mch cl 80, but i can dual and win, can solo cl 83 to 84, i have no root/snare, and can kill my alt lol.

CH is up and coming from what i see, same as all proffs, you go to tat and you see all the noob BH's.

Its a combat balance, my main alt is no longer the killing machine he used to be, i gave up with him as a lot of ch's here are, i am lucky enought to have an alt to play with, and she turned out stronger!

It just goes to show there is life after MCH post CU.

A real CH does not ever buy a natural pet, he goes out and finds and tames it himself

I expect the game population and the CH profession to be pumped up a little during the summer as kids on vacation try the game out, but ultimately everyone learns about the quality problems as they see new bugs introduced rapidly while fixes come with glacial slowness. Mid-September/October I'd expect the population on the servers to plummet to all-time lows, and there's a real question in my mind if the game can survive the revenue numbers that will then smack the SOE execs in the face.

I won't be around to see it but I'll peek in at the forums now and again.

nothing but nerfs here, the initial nerf then the later nerf of the curb just made it boring and more frustrating to play. There is no skill involved any more and no promise of something special (rare pets) to find.

Not worth a dime of my money any more sadly.

Why game companies think they know more about the online gaming experience than the gamers is way beyond me. Online gaiming is becoming frustrating. Very frustrating.
