I'm trying to find some more info on the Bolotaur and Bolotaur quest - anyone has a good url? (searched this forum for "Bolotaur" but there was nothing at all, surprisingly :smileysurprised

oh yup! They should rename that one "lambs to the slaughter quest".

Don't fight in Geo Caves.
To get your bolotaur use Burst Run instead.
It works better then any lightsaber.
Use your Brain, not Force.

Did the quest last night. Just myself and another CH. He held off the Crazed Genosians in the upper level and I ran past everything to get to the case inside the first locked door. Just be sure you get the door code from the scientist just inside the mouth of the cave. If you pull 3 pets and a battle droid you might even be able to do this solo. Just be sure you clone at the Labor Outpost first, in case of untimely death. Head to Geo cave, talk to scientist, get door code, send in pets and droid to keep upper level creatures busy, run down to door, punch in code, step inside and click 'use' on the magseal container just inside door to the left, run back out. If it hadn't been for the droideka and getting myself stuck on parts of the cave I probably would have made it without dying.

It's a level 10, non CH mount. The stats aren't anything to write home about. Honestly, I don't think they're worth much. You might try a 'price check' on your galaxy's trade forum.

Come on dieing is soooooooooooo much fun hehe. I just cloned before I did it and was able to do it. Would have made it out alive if I had not laged out from the explosion attacks from what seemed like 20 kwis.
Atleast I was able to get back to outpost faster and back to tryena hehe

me a lvl70 i think mdocter/mrifleman and i lvl 80 dude and we got through easy (after i got slain 2 but got rezed) so it wasnt that bad

yay!!!! So basically "whip out" the old threesome (oohh err Matron) , throw in a droid and run like bugger?? THAT I can do... running away is my other other Master skill

I finished this quest a few days ago, went to Theed to train him, and was bombarded with requests to sell it. I pretty much said 'no, it isn't for sale', so I didn't ask how much folks would pay, but one guy offered 150k for it beforeI could say no.
You have to remember, these can only be gotten from this quest, and the quest can only be done once (per character). So they are a not common. That, and they are level 10, so anyone can have one, increasing the size of your market.
I bet you could get 500k for one. There seems to be a lot of $ floating around. I got a 100k tip for training a guy's non-ch mount...

Huh... Guess I'll just have to hang around Theed or C'net with it and see if I get any requests. I can't really say I like the critter much. I kinda like my brackaset
