Thread: The excellent CH feature Autostore

Disarm skill, like to stretch your position a bit further? No if there was a bug where any other profession had its primary weapon suddenly disappear for no reason during combat then it would be called a bug. The autostore bug is the same one that makes your speeder or bike mysteriously disappear sometimes when you exit it and leave it sitting out. If you are depending on that bike for a quick getaway it is a problem to turn around and find it gone. If your weapon does the same thing then you are toast.

Requiring anyone wanting CH to also master a combat skill is saying that you can't have BE/CH, MED/CH, or any other non-combat related skill and CH. CH is suppossed to have combat capability, its called the pets.

I guess for those who have used CH as just another point in their template for their preferred playstyle its hard to understand that CH is in and of itself a play style for many of the people here.

that is the point of creature handlers...

qhy on earth should I need a pet if I could kill everything all by myself?

I'm a novice CH and novice Carbineer, I don't use buffs so I can't have an armor (I would kill myself in no time)... my pets are my armor, they take damage, I deal it... if my pet suddenly disappear... I'm dead!
one Kahmurra kills me in a few hits... all I can do is burst run if I'm lucky.

This is a HUGE bug, luckily it doesn't happen frequently to me, but it should indeed be fixed asap

Pardon? You cheeky **edit**e! Are you sayin' that I'm a holo-grinder? Erm, let me see....How's about NO!

And IF my weapon did dissapear I'd simply work around that problem. State it in the forums and the get back to whatever I was doing. All I said was that if yer pet did dissapear you should be able to handle it or not be takin on such violent enemies without having some combat support

No I said you have part of CH as your combat oriented template for your play style while others have master CH and a non-combat profession as their template. The pets are suppossed to be their weapons just like a rifleman's weapon is his rifle. If I were rifleman/armorsmith and my rifle kept disappearing how would I handle the situation other than running away? Why should any of us have to "work around" a bug that is many months old by altering how we want to play a game we pay for?

Thats why we become Master Creature Handlers. You tell me, A Jedi is fighting a dark master.....

and his lightsaber stores in the middle of battle...(bad enough) but he CAN NOT recall it. He also

CAN NOT call out another lightsaber....because he is in battle.....so what happens? He either runs

his @#& off or gets it handed to him. How long do you think it would take Sony to get that fixed.

To say you would just pull out another weapon shows you do not understand the full scope of the problem.

A MCH can not call another weapon until 30 seconds after battle is over. Of course he is probably DEAD

and it doesn't matter anymore. I am also Master Pistoleer and Novice Rifleman but I should be able to count

on any of my weapons. This has been a known Bug and has been brought out in many threads. It was

brought out by me at Fanfest during the creature forum. Just my thoughts!

Yes. any MCH can just use pets to help their other weapon mastery.
You cant be just MCH and something else, it must be a weapon mastrey,

My pets are fine to tank or inflict state effects and poison/disease, but they

very seldom kill anything higher by themself. So i need a weapon mastery.

and yes, you cant call pets until you are 30sec after combat, so

"puling a second weapon" isnt.

I could master only because i killed what my pets wounded. MCH as

only weapon skill isnt viable anymore.

It happens more and more last times.5 time out of 5 double-lair missions

on Dantooine....

that still is not the point...

let's say... I'm a rifleman / ch and I am trying to solo a krayt dragon...
I'm not armored because I know my uber pet is going to survive dragon's attacks (it's dreamland, I know, it's just to make you understand).. now Boing! My pet disappears for no reason and I'm dead...

you now say: "what the hell! You could solo a krayt dragon with rifle skills only, why on earth should you call out a pet and wear no armor?!?!"

and the answer is: "because I'm a creature handler! If I was supposed to master a profession just to apply state effects I would just get to trapping IV, or I'd simply use my rifle specials.. having the advantage of not having auto storing rifles or traps"

I must be able to rely on my pet! I'm a creature handler!

For someone so quick to label the posts of others as "whining", apparantly Mr. BlingBlingUK doesnt consider it to be whining if it is put into a nice little story.

Just to be clear on things, I dont consider this post to be whining any more than I considered posts by myself and many others to be, although BlingBlingUK was quick to reply to those posts labeling them as whining. I just feel it is hypocritical to then submit a post such as this, which also expresses displeasure about an aspect of the game, albeit sarcastically.

A fair point perhaps Dragmier.........

Bugs in the game i do consider to be in everyone interest to remove as they are not meant to be in the game and very rarely do anything to enhance how the game plays.

Balances within, such as combat, damage types/strengths and whatever else has been altered to change the game I feel is different. The Dev's have thought about those changes (albeit a mere few minutes no doubt) and are now part of the game.

The constant posting about combat rebalancing for CH's is where I have said I disagree. As far as I am aware a combat rebalance is in the pipeline and will give people something else to complain and protest about no doubt.

Bugs are annoying and are not part of the game, I understand and would agree with anyone complaining about bugs like autostore or vehicle dismount or whatever else.I do not consider it whinning to complain about these things however they are put as I repeat, they are not meant to be in the game, changes however have been thought about and are meant to be in game.

Anyway.......because I don't always agree with the forum addicts, I will never be be right.....

No, it's because its okay when it fits YOUR definition but not okay for anyone else's that you will never be right.
