I really doubt it. I was really thinking about mounting a Bantha but after I heard how slow they moved there's really no point to waste a spot where a nice pet could go in my data pad.
Actually their speed was increased based on feedback. They cruise right along now.
Vert, could you give us a speed comparison of the new mounts versusexisting ones, please?

I think an idea for mounts would be to have them take 90% of the damage untill theyre KO'ed and attacking while allowing you to do specials alot less acuratly.
Kind of like the war horses of old.

I didn't think there would be much interest, but I just finished an order for a guy that wanted 20 banthas for his guild.

Well I had my BE friend make me up a batch of level 10 CuPa and Bantha, and I'm growing them now. I'm betting the novelty factor will sell them pretty good the first day or two.

It used to be that the kaadu and carrion spat were the only wild options for non-CH mounts too, but then CL 10 versions of the others were introduced for non-CHs. They may introduce CL 10 wild versions of banthas and cu pas as well. However now that a BE can change the CL of their creations, I can't say for sure.

I rarely see people using mounts any longer, other than for city transport. In the wilderness, all I see are speeders. I ride my kaadu from time to time, but then he's a CL 47 hell kaadu crafted in my lab. He'll bite your head off.

I'll certainly be surprised if there's a demand for them. There's no demand for mounts now, and I simply fail to see how adding 2 more mounts will change that. Yes, some few will want them, but not enough
that I'm willing to have them take up space in my datapad. It's an advantage having BE versions that are level 10, though. It's very difficult to sell mounts to CH because they can just go out and tame their own and then get someone to train it as a mount..

I've already had some people asking about whether I had banthas and cu pas, so I think there will be people out there that want to try out the new mounts. Hopefully the lesser/plodding/motley/lowland, etc. variety will appear for these two new mounts as well for the non CH's. I know I already have my own level 66 BE bantha and level 68 BE cu pa ready to go in my datapad in great anticipation of being able to ride them around and hunt with them. Although my wasteland cu pa towers above my BE cu pa so I'm going to train him in mount too just for the coolness factor of how large he is. Plus my wasteland cu pa is a sentimental pet that I have had for a long time now and I'm really looking forward to being able to bring him back out of the datapad and use him again so that we can create new adventures in the galaxy once more.

I'd like to see the Tybis as mountable (looks like a horse) - an obvious choice for a mountable creature. But, other than the novelty I don't see the new mounts infringing on the popularity of speeders. I use both when hunting, at least you don't have to take mounts to garages for repair.
