Just because a spawn seems in a common place, doesn't mean it doesn't just start spawning there at random. I mean, on nearly every server the Krayt Dragon Graveyard has a town near it, and we didn't learn of Wild Dune Boars (which If I recall frequent there) til some months ago.

I'm the one who saw it in Theed. I had just read about it on SWGCreatures, so I was surprised to say the least to see it there. I saw and targeted it through the SP wall.

I'm normally very skeptical of claims like this myself, but this picture looks too legit to me to be a fake.
You can see he has it targeted, so the display in the upper right correctly displays the name, the text looks even and clear. No sign of forgery there.
To the left of the effectiveness column in the examine window picture, you can see the text that begins "a bloo" just above his speederbike, which is obviously the actual targeted prowler.
The examine window looks pretty much as I would expect as well, although the text around the resists doesn't have as much of a drop shadow as the rest. I expect this is from differences in the font used for those though, and not because of forgery.
The *only* drawback to this pic is that it's compressed, so there is JPEG dithering around the text which in theory *could* hide any slight mistakes made if this was forged.
But I'd say I believe it. This looks too good to be a fake, and if it is a fake, kudos to the photoshop artist, it's done well.

Pretty pathetic that we are getting worked up over a tiny thing like this...

I would say I pretty much believe it...but to play devils advocate...where is the red dot on the radar? It says it is agressive.

I suspected that I would be accused of forgery by atleast one person when I posted that. I only wish my PS skills were that good, lol. Would have gone up to it and gotten additional screens if the lag hadn't been horrible - I was getting 1 frame every 2.5 secs on average so... bah. (I hate Theed.)
As for the dot, I have no idea. Maybe had something to do with the lag. As I'm sure you all know aggro creatures are yellow dots when they first appear, then turn red. Only explanation I can think of. (Why do non-aggressive Tatooine mynocks have their name printed in red by the way?)
Would be nice to get some more sightings on this thing so y'all can confirm that it exists...

Nice screenshot. ANd looking at its skin, it is obviously a new spawn not a boss spawn on Naboo (unless it is in fact some sort of mission thing).
We need to find actual spawn points and check them to see if this is not a mission spawn, and if we do find this to be true, if they spawn babies.

really horrible compression. people really need to max out the quality bar for their screenshots in the options menu. it's around 75% by default.
i doubt it has anything to do with lag. unless you were completely disconnected from the server at the exact moment that the animal spawned, the name would not remain yellow for more than the time it takes for you to tab onto it. by the time you got that screenshot and the examine screen up, the name would have turned red.
and you ARE on kauri i imagine?how long ago was this?i'm going to speak with the people i saw were chatting away in your text box on that screenshot, and see if they also noticed any mobs up the starport's ass that day.
edit: hmm, one of them claimed to be french and understood no english(although he managed to type it quite perfectly), one of them wouldn't respond, and the third was offline. so far things aren't lookin good for the bloodstained kitty.

Just saw the pic as well.
Judging from the Color Scheme and the Layout of the Compass, it didn't look familiar to Tatooine. It could have been Naboo I suppose.
If this thing does exist, I must say I'm dissappointed that they (re)used a creature model that is already GROSSLY Overused.

My quality bar IS maxed out, and was when I took that too.
It was last night around 1 AM (local time) as I guess you can see from the chat box timestamp, I'm in GMT + 1 so I guess that would be late afternoon/early evening for you N Am people...

no no, specific day. the time is easy enough to get.
