Yeah, I been reading the stickies and have yet to see my problem or info regarding it.

I have a level 11 BE gurrcat. Tamed him a few days before Pub 21. I can level him pretty nicely but gaining Creature handler xp is near nothing. Anywhere from 25-250 randomly I get per mob killed. I have tested this against level 15 cupas. I level the pet nicely but I only get 1 xp plus the occasional bugged 800 xp matching my critters level xp.

I have also fought against level 34 mobs. I have to do the killing of course since my level 11 gurrcat cant fight them well enough.

I'm just curious how I get actual xp? I'm level 34 and novice creature handler. Is it cause I'm using a BE pet?

Whats your CL? You still gain CH XP just like you normally would. That hasn't changed.

Hit enter too early...heh. Edited above.

I'm level 34 novice CH. At that low level fighting creatures near my level(beetles in the myrdril caverns) I get very small amounts of xp. Granted I understand that my shooting the beetles will yield less creature handler xp. Any creature my level 11 gurrcat can fight at its own level gives me no xp since I'm well above its level. If I fight anything near my level the gurrcat gets whipped quick. Just wondering where that fine line is I need to be walking for decent xp.
