Im working on ch now, But before the cu I could find bunches of baby gsp's about 2k east of dearic and about 2.5k sw of dearic.

I used to kill all the adults by the lair then go about 500m away and wait a few min then come back Id usualy get 1-2 babies per lair this way. CU may have changed it, but on kauri my house is about 2k east from dearic and I usualy see a lair or to between me and dearic.

I dont think jedi are the causing the baby shortage on talus. I know a few jedi and they dont drive around looking for lairs they either head to wookie world or one of the other popular spots. as for gsp's if a jedi wants to hunt gsp's they can go to durbin and kill all they want.

Talus has been nearly barren on Naritus for well over a year and in the last 8 months has gone from 10-12 wild spawns to 1 or 2 at most outside the typical NPC cities and static spawns. Most of my friends from Talus(old timer here started in Nashal) are rather disheartened by the current status of the planet. I so wish the devs would just let us have back the countryside. If there was something to see you'd see a lot more people living there as the moon is beautiful.

At first, thank you all for replay.

I have no problem with reducing wild lairs for the reason of server ressources to grant them to other hunting areas. Everyone plays the game the way he like. But not in a way to ruin the game for the rest of some players. --- reducing wild lairs , yes . reducing to ZERO , NO !

I concur - wild spawns on Eclipse for Talus are non-existent. I /bug this about every day. Rori was barren for mothns as well and I /bug that too. I did find wild spawns on Rori over the weekend - haven't been back since though.

Started on Naritus/Talus with Neeno - Talus has been baren so long it makes me want to cry.

No problem on Sunrunner on either Talus or Rori. Go figure.

I'm glad this thread came up. It at least explains to me why Bria's Talus is nearly barren of wildlife. I'd been blaming it on the urban blight (which probably IS partly responsible).

It's really too bad, I love Talus despite it being a backwater. It seems that this new system of concentrating spawns where the activity is at becomes a self-sustaining spiral. That is, the players concentrate in an area, more spawns go to that area, more players come because the area now has greater spawns and others are drying up, and so on... and so on...

You'd think that even the low-traffic areas would have some minimum number of spawns just to encourage the players to spread out a bit.

I've had this problem on Talus and on some areas of Dantooine (believe it or not). What I was told is that you are supposed to "prime" the lesser planets like Talus and Rori when you go there... run around town, even in the newb yard, killing everything in sight for about 10 minutes... then lairs should gradually start spawning. I tried it with limited success... best results I got for GSP were just outside Dearic.

go to player cities ones that arent nearly abandoned and you will find spawns. Akuan cave was goodfor wild spawns in the past also you can prime the planet by killing all the creatures surrounding dearic a couple of times this will force more spawns ...I never have trouble finding wild spawns on talus you just have to know where to look...Another way to force spawns is to take creature missions and abort the mission once it is visible ...This will create wild spawns to appear ...I lived on Talus for over a year and have tried and tested everything and these are the best I have found to work ...I hope this helps...Also if you happen to see a wild spawn lair you arent looking for Destroy it , because it will be replaced by 2 more spawns in the area...

I was running into the same problem on Rori. I started taking all East missions from Restuss and at first the number of natural spawns was pretty low. I would be surprised to find any lairs outside of 400m out from the city. I've been taking missions there now for the past five days and now I'm running into lots of lairs and lots of babies to tame.

Spawns are directly linked to the activity within the area.

Something that you might want to try, to help stimulate the area you are in, would be to drop a tent or two. This action triggers the server to spawn the tent and level the landscape in the area. This can be consider along the same lines as entering a structure. The items in the structure don't really exist in the sturcture, until someone enters the structure, which causes the items to be spawned.

Placing the tent is very similar to the act of entering through the door of a structure. It tells the server that something has 'changed' and that the surronding area needs to load.

If anyone on kauri wants gsp babies post your alt name and i'll send you a tell or email when I see one.

if you go to dearic and head east about 2k then turn north towards durbin your chances of finding a lair are pretty good if theres no baby kill the adults then tap the lair and head away about 500m wait a min or two then head back to the lair "repeat if needed"

What id like to find for my grind is a minor gsp baby I have one from along time ago but I havnt seen any more for a long time.

Drash is right(again) , I've found that the same area that was devoid of any life when I went through it before, has suddenly produced lots of wild spawns, and I think it was mostly me wandering around long enough ON FOOT. when I wizzed through in my Flash, I could see a couple spawns here and there, but when I got out and wandered long enough and started working the couple lairs there were suddenly there was life all around. So, "if you build it,they will come"

Ok...I have lived on Talus forever..and I still do. It is empty. It shouldnt be..but it is pretty much. This happened before and it was changed so the creatures came back..but then it went wrong again. This is on Wanderhome.

You should not have to "do special things" to get wildlife to appear. It is supposed to be a living planet. It should exist even if noone is on the planet. Reading what everyone writes about tricks to make it happen, placing tents and stuff..is just the wrong thing to have to do. It is what is wrong with 95% of the people here. You treat this game..like a game. Its not supposed to be a game. Its supposed to be someplace you can get lost in. Its a RPG!! When things like this happpen..it should be reported and complained about. SOE should be told by all of us that it is taking away things like this that changes the game into a "shooter", a Jedi machine, a grind fest..whatever you call it.

Does it happen..yes. Do we allow it..yes. That is the problem. Be part of the solution and not the problem. Write SOE, write tickets..make your voices heard. Will it change the galaxy you live in?...I dunno..but it wont if you do nothing.

Sorry for my rant.
