As for pet names, I try to use pet names that are far removed from the crappy, unimaginative cliches.

I also like to keep them reatively short and simple so I can address them in convorsation without taxing my less than perfect typing skills. =)

I had personalized commands back when I used only pets that would actually fight til the job was done like Mereks, Gurrecks, and Grand Wrix. I was happy with Sic'em boy! and C'mere boy! until I started using pets with uber resists and yellow streaks as wide as their back, ie Graul Maulers and a certain Rancor that just takes up space in my datapad.

When I don't have to spam the attack key to finish a fight, or keep telling my pet to follow only to give up and store, go to mission site, camp, call, fight, then I'll switch back to something more original than "a", "f".

If I don't feel like spamming or I'm surrounded by other lairs, the TMB is still my workhorse.

Toxic Merek Battlelord = Albert

Graul Maulers = Cuff and Link
Kaadu = Pete
Rancor = I can't remember. Maybe I should change it to Glass-Jaw or Runsscreamingwithhisassonfire.

My commands are not on my toolbar. They are macros that are mapped to keyboard combinations... like "CTRL-SHFT-A" for attack. This would map to a command of /at (for example). This command would be listed in my alias.txt as "at: /tellpet attack". The actual command that the pet is taught would be "attack" in this instance. So... I have my Nostromo N54 set up with a macro so one keypress sends "CTRL-SHFT-A" to my game which calls my alias of /at which is translated to /tellpet attack. The reason I have the alias is so I can easily run the commands from my command line without having to type out the whole command or use the actual keyboard combination in the heat of combat. Plus I have other commands in there that I dont need mapped to a single keypress but are nice to have available.

Be even more scary when you see that the bio-engineers can make them a nice bright yellowy color too
