Many of the various rasps, found on Rori, Corellia, and Talus, have babies and they're all below CL 10, so you can have a flying pet if you're a non-CH. Likewise, Corellian butterflies, capper spineflaps, and flewts have babies as well.

I will be happy to train any pet that is not a real exploit(lvl 0 rancor is), and no, the very nice !!!!NO ARMOR!!!!! lvl 10K health BE pets are NOT an exploit........beacuse my lvl 24 razor cat will kick the poopie out of one anyday any time......
