The trick is to not kill all 62 at once =). Take on one or maybe 2 at a time =)

When you have a rancor tanking, it is relatively easy to take down a frenzied graul or two. Provided you can follow up with some decent damage yourself. Ohh.. and good petstims are always a bonus.

jawa rifle helps too. my friend who was with me was using a sliced jawa rifle and we were taking down FGs in a matter of seconds

i think that bull rancors should not have missions, and that rare creatures such as the frenzied graul, bull rancor, arachne widow, and great plains stalker should be granted a baby at least with a 50/50 chance at each spawn since they are so hard to find in the wild.

Tivo, can you give us a general area as to where you are hunting for these?

Thanks

Wanderhome lately is suffering from a severe FG shortage. Before Publish 7, I'd run into them all the time both with Lairs and Alone but I've combed Dantooine several times over both in the usual NW locations as well as the rest of the map and have not seen a single one since the new Publish went Live.

Of course now, all I see are Graul Maulers, so many I practically have to push them aside just pass through.

FGs are kinetic tanks, you can take them out with most other ranged weapons. On top of that all pets are vulnerable to posions and diseases. Give something to occupy the FG for about two minutes, a master CM can reduce that health, action or mind ham right down to 1 in no time.

Best pet to use against an FG is one which has poison, followed by stun or intimidate. Stun, Acid and electricity works best against these giants, next to zero resist against these. DX2 pistol, scatter pistol, DXR6 (rifle and carbine), Jawa Ion cannon and the BH LLC works best here

When you have a level 35 pet with ar1 and 60 kinetic, you can tank these effortlessly.

I'm experiencing the same thing on Starsider. No FGs but a bunch of Grauls and Graul Maulers.
