Thread: BEAST Wants You.
If I wanted to start a BEAST guild on Sunrunner, how would I go about it? What is involved with being a guild leader?

Sunrunner used to have a BEAST division but they went poof.
Yeah, it's a shame too. I'd run BEAST on Sunrunner but I'm already firmly entrenched in a nearly 2 year old guild I already run. Maybe someone will step up.
I have a CH on Sunrunner but he is my alt and I do not get a chance to play him as much as I would like. If enough intrest is generated I would find the time to log in and help get this going. Forum PM is the best way to reach me or ingame mail to Meaux on Sunrunner.

We sure do. I am a moderator at swgcreatures.com and one of the perks was I got to make my own forum and private forum for members. Check it out if u like as swgcreatures is the best website for ch!!

I will answer your last question first where being a guild leader of BEAST means you are the creature handler all of your members rely on for answers, assistance, and knowledge about the CH profession. I am primarily looking for veteran ch to be guild leaders as want people who enjoy playing swg and want to continue playing swg as a ch.
I will send you a private pm Thaumaturgist and we can talk about BEAST on Sunrunner.

I was in the BEAST guild on Sunrunner andthe decisin to disband it was made by all active members. When I say active members it consisted of 3 people. We had a total of 13 which included 2 alts and 8 others who havent logged on i the last 4 months. I was able to recruit and enlist in the guild, but there was such a HUGE lack of interest for people to join it that we disbanded due to lack of interest. We had some group hunts that were a lot of fun, and did some other activities, but the server wide interest was just not into it. Milteck was on my server and had talked to me the day before we disbanded, and he had put his name on the elections as Guild Leader. Just so you know, Milteck, your running for PAL had no impact or influence what-so-ever on the decision to shut the guild down. It was just a dying interest on the server, and a coincidence of you registering and Ivoe logging on.
Just my personal opinion here on Sunrunner... if your in a guild and have your name tagged... other people dont want to hunt with you. I have been in 2 guilds and have been guildless for a greater deal of my time in the last year. The time I spent guildless was a very good time. I had a lot of invites from other guilds to "run" with them doin missions or just general game play. As soon as the tag goes on my name thou... people tend to shun ya. I used to keep a running list of every ch on my server and try to plan hunts with them and it was pretty much the same response back all the time.... maybe another time, too busy, cant tonite(til infinity). I guess its just peoples priorities. After a while of the dog gettin the switch, well... the dog just dont bark no more. Thats my position now, Ive lost my bark for members. Ive talk to every ch I meet on the server... wether its a quik /say hi, (just to introduce and get a temperature on the attitude of the individual)... or long CU conversations like I had last nite with a PreCU returning CH. The willigness of ch's on Sunrunner willing to give up their present guild is /small. Ive asked for commitments before from people prior to startin up BEAST with Ivoe and got them, but then when the time came for commitment... poof. No commitment.
If someone wants to pick up the stick on Sunrunner and get BEAST goin it... I would suggest get a list of names committed to joining it. No use puttin the PA up if ya dont have the members. Also on a side note... if I had an /invite... my response would be /decline. I would support by joining hunts (if I was invited), but beyond that I'm not sure.

Thaumaturgist,
This is what I would suggest, as former GL of BEAST on Sunrunner. Create a character on Radiant and arrange a time to meet with Milteck. You really only need 5 lots free and a guild hall to start the guild. But before you even drop the guild hall, see if you can recruit at least 20 people that want to join. Because only half of them will. Before I started up BEAST, I had 20+ people that said they were interrested in joining. When I sent them all an invite email to join, only about 5 showed up (and 3 of them were personal friends), and Louannarchy brought the rest. I noticed (at least on Sunrunner), that CH's that aren't in a guild like being alone, and those in a guild love their guild too much to leave. However, I said that if BEAST starts up again on Sunrunner, I would like to be a member again, but I don't have the time to be a GL anymore.

If I can get on SWG tonight (darn thunderstorms have been keeping me away from the computer for three days)I'll email Hoss, I've been thinking about joining and it is time to do something about it.
