actually, just double-checked and the Pikets are CL30, Plainswalkers are CL32. The CL30 Graul might have greater XP intake from the longhorns (CL37) There might be a significant increase of XP by using something closer to a CL24. I'm trying it out tonight. Got a razor cat (CL10? of CL22) just itching for some action...

OK, here's what I saw last night against Fambaas (CL 34) on Naboo:

Kliknik (CL 18) : 350

Famished Sludge Panther (CL 20) : 480

Razor Cat (CL 22) : 429.

This moves the "optimum" CL to something like 60% of prey's CL, as opposed to 75% (which I had kinda thought was a bit high, statistically speaking)

And while I did not document accurately enough to post specific numbers here, I took the CL22 razor cat to Dath last night and was getting more than 800, but less than 900, per enraged bull rancor. Gonna take a CL29 BE Kwi out there tonight and see the difference. If 60% is the optimal ratio, then that should garner a good bit more.

Geti-Sai, without the CL value of the "mob" you were up against, the other numbers don't help much. I understand what you are pointing out, and I don't have an answer. Can you clarify the "mob" for which you are referring?

Anybody else try anything last night? The more info we have, the easier it will be to zero in on the target.

Just curious if anyone thinks that perhaps the pet being fully grown has anything to do with xp amount? I noticed that when I was using a halfway grown BE Razor Cat CL 7(14) I was getting much less XP than I was with a full grown BE Shear Mite CL 21 on everything I killed. For example I was getting about 600-700 XP per kill for enraged Rancors with the Razor Cat and about 1400-1500 XP per kill with the Shear Mite. Just a thought.

I saw something like this at the beginning with my cu pa, when it was still level 3 or 4 and I was fighting Greater Desert Womp rats (170 xp), and it went up the next day (200 XP?). But the Cu Pa is a CL 11, and when I fought the same mobs with my lesser Dewback (CL 9), I got less XP per kill. Since the were both at the same level in early development, I am theorizing that it has more to do with the overall adult level of the pet, and less to do with the current size of the pet, especially since you get the same number of points, regardless of how much "damage" the pet dishes out, like it would be if this were just straight combat XP.

Gonna try some more stuff tonight.

Just to add more data, I've been using my CL20 Mountain Dew against geonosians in the geonosian cave. Before it reached full growth, I was getting 845xp per dead geonosian (or something close to that, I know it was in the mid 800s). Once it reached full growth I was getting 1100xp per kill. I used it through several growth stages there, and it was only the final change to fully grown that made any difference.

in general i have found that the exp seems to be based off the adult lvl of the pet as it exists in the wild relative to the lvl of themob it is enganged with. this would take care of any possible "bug/exploit" that could cause a low lvl BE pet with decent stats to be able to make insane exp off ez mobs (nightspiders). there also seems to be an exp bonus for the pet *not* being fully grown that is a percentage of the exp you would get if the pet was full grown, thus you would get the normal full grown exp + baby exp ...

was going to expand on this some more butim off work now and going to go play, but im sure you get the idea

... to be continued ...

Geti-sai - not sure what level the voritors where offhand, but the missions we selected to get them paid 24k, and i remember that they definately weren't jungle ones (jungle voritors are lower level, but harder to kill and have nastypoison dot, go figure)

Pet was a fully grown wild shear mite cl 15
