Thanks again to all of you for the replys! I still haven't lost hope in traking the Gorax so i guess I'll be out there again today. At least now Ihave a lead or shouldI say a rumor to keep going that little longer. I'll kill as many Hanadak'sIsee and I'll keep you all posted.

Cheers!

I was told area track only worked on creatures that have already spawned? So if that is true until Gorax spawns we would not be able to track him.

ahh, thanks... i just spent a few hours wandering around in the desert killing everything from hanadaks to wolf boars (after watching the ewok movie i was sure this was the key)... the next thing i was gonna try was to look for a path out of the tree village north...

i hope if they do something revampy with this they will make it like that ewok flic... it's really kind of cool for a made for TV, ewokian adventure for kids... then again, all i really have to compare it to is the holiday special... it pains me deeply to see wookiees acting that way..

I've been told by a very good source that the Gorax has been removed for a revamp. Consider this rumor though.

There is a rumor,I have not yet confirmed the validity of this but......

On the load in screen for endor there is a picture and descrption of a Hanadak, and it states that Gorax may be the true masters of the Hanadaks. I have heard if you kill a Stoneskin Hanadak it may make a Gorax spawn. It makes sense to me cause the Stoney was the loneliest creature in game, rarely killed, this may be the reason to kill the guy. (and a supreme pain to kill, huge resists, medium armor, 100k+ HAM)

I have seen this loading screen before and about a week ago I did find a stoneskin and I killed it, after a lot of work. Nothing showed up thought. I was in the middle of the northern desert and he was sitting alone in the middle of nowhere. For everyone who wants to fight the large ape be prepared he is lvl 135(or around there) and runs very fast (had to burst run once and he was keeping up with me). From the screen shots I have seen of people fighting the Gorax the environment does not look like the desert area. Rather it looks more like a green field, also not in a heavily wooded area.

(when i say the other day i actually mean a few weeks ago so the spawn might wellhave changed)

You say while looking for a stoneskin. Did you (or anyone you know of) kill a stonesking before the Gorax spawned? I personally don't really think that killing a specific mob is going to bring it out but it would be nice to know. I just think that killing one spawn means that the server is going to try and make another. And that new spawn just might be a Gorax. BTW, what were the HAMs on that thing? From what I can tell, the stats on it are almost exactly the same as a giant krayt (with the same CL, specials, damage, etcbut lower resists). And, given that they list that information, I'm pretty sure it is a creature and not an NPC (although it might not let you harvest anything as no harvesting info is listed).

Oh, one last suggestion for the Gorax hunters. When hunting krayts last night, nothing would spawn during the day. Then, at night (game time), the spawn rate increased greatly (and I'm not the only person to say this but it definately seems true). Maybe the same thing holds true for the Gorax.

I didn't kill a hanadak to get this to spawn but interestingly enough there wasa stoneskin hanadakwithin 200m of the gorax. The health on this guy is 400,000 HAM. Luckily there's loads of other good MOB's on Endor to keep him busy for ya.

LoL he looks so funny

All I've heard is that he tends to spawn in the Northern part of Endor. Little seems to be known of this bigfoot.

"Jedi"
"Blasphemy!"
"'Empire' had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, find out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All 'Jedi' had was a bunch of Muppets." -Thanks go out to BrainMandinga for the AWSOME sig!

you win some and you lose some.....

I recently killed one and I did get some bone shards.

To answer your question: they do drop, but as to any high end mob, you are not guaranteed loot everytime you kill one.
