the devs don't know what to do with us lol
I still think they are terified to do anything for fear of people like us who have been here well over a year and half waiting for balance.
What they called balance in 03 was nerfage, this revamp is really a sham if you think about it. sorry but really it is. armor and buffs did the most damage so all they had to do was put a cap on em both. stacking defences from professions, easy enough another cap placed. weapons could be nerf'd they did it once but with defenses now capped there might not have been a need.
Truthfully Iam considering this the last shot for them, if ch isn't viable and we are left as collecters of animals (zoo keepers) then I'l let my accounts expire and move on. lotr (middle earth online) is due sometime in 05,it was pushed back. but I have signed up on the forums there and am enjoying it.
Seems to be many former swg people there and ole mr Tolkien would be proud, costomer support is already better than here lol. I got my confermation email within minutes. I still haven't gotten my beta testing email from here lmao.
Heck with it all I say, if they screw up, my accounts are gone. hmm could even sell my jedi account on ebay and get all my money back lol.

We've suffered the most because of it and now when it finally arrives we get NOTHING.There are serious issues that needed to be addressed in the CU. They just can't "balance" creature stats again and call it done. Sure, we may have super powerful creatures again all of a sudden, but they aren't addressing the balance issue of being MCH and an Elite Combat prof.Vert, can we please have some info now that the initial overview is here? Are we doomed to go to the end of the line for individual profession revamps?/pout/tantrumNot fair! We got "fixed" first and yet I guess we'll be the last to be fixed.Message Edited by Kitoth on 03-18-2005 03:58 PM
"left out" isn't the right thing to say.
the changes to armor are very much a part of CH. because armor rating and armor piercing is being taken out of the game, the creatures in there *must* be changed. especially the high level ones that still have armor currently.
whether the final stats on the creatures after the CU are considered a nerf or not is another matter. we simply don't know yet.

Just my two cents. If the skill point changes go into effect for combat professions, I am out of here with both of my accounts. I have been playing since release and am not an Uber Pwn combat build. I am a MTK/MCH with some medic and surveying skills to pay the bills. My other account is Master Shipwright, Master TK, Master Pilot, and Novice Medic and Novice Merchant. If you want to prevent 3 combat masteries, just hard code it. This is really going to screw the crafters and non combat masters who took a combat profession just to be able to safely survey and tend harvester or clear shops and factories. Not to mention that you forced crafters to also get at least Novice Merchant but still insist on having Uber bad guys camp harvesters and shops.
How hard could it be to code that if you are working on two Master Combat professions you can not start a third without getting out of one. In JTL I can not become a Rebel or Imp pilot without surrrendering all of my Freelance skills. Use the same logic on the master combat professions if you want to prevent multiple masterys or stacking.
