Bah. I'm a master CH and when I was doing merchant, I named a Giant Gackle Bat "TellGrozForSkillTapes" and had him patrolling outside the Coronet starport. Most of the tells I received were about what a cool idea it was. I didn't get in anyone's way, but it was an effective way to advertise.

I've stuck with CH for almost 10 months now and I still love the profession. Go us.

Droids don't shout. A shouting "dood" spams a wider area than a droid. Plus merchant barkers are just doing what they are supposed to do. The artisan's need some way to let people know they have a shop and what they sell.

Hi

I was not having a go at you marxo777 if a droid says it once every say 3 seconds then i stand corrected, its just that a lot of players when thay spam say it 4 or more times all in one go, you only need 3 or 4 doing it at the same time and your sitting thier with a screen full of it, it gets a bit much even if we have got ignore

To use the droid you have to be a Propogandist in the Merchant prof. I have one but never use it cause its a waste of time and I don't really need one anyway. To be perfectly honest I think the barker was a waste of programming time. Very few people can use them and the battery runs down relatively fast.

At the moment I don't think there is a way to resolve the spamming problem. Plus I'm not so sure there should be a way to stop the spamming. If I want to find steel for example I know I should go to Coronet and see who's spamming steel for sale. In front of theed or coronet starport is like a bazzar of sorts. There are many people selling thier wares all day and night from docs giving buffs to every artisan prof trying to make a buck, er credit. It reminds me of amedievel marketplace everytime I fly into Cor.

I haven't done the spam shouting thing for months now but I remember needing to when I was a poor artisan. For that reason I don't /ignore the spammers. I remember wishing to god someone would buy my resources or droids.
