I'd be more glad if our pets got more natural poison/bleed resistance, I'm fed up with seeing my pet die within 2 minutes when i hunt marauders on endor.

Good point. But im also tired of dying in under 10 seconds whenever I try to pvp because of dots and CMs

I hear ya there, although this wouldn't be a CH-only-issue. Seems like the new doc buffs for poison and disease aren't working that well...

CMs for example or even CHs?

They might put this more likely into scout then i guess (since they are pure explorers of the wild)... The only question would be if they also put it into the scout-skills we need for CH.

I understand your point, however, who is more likly to have a resistance for poison built up, a scout or a snake handler?

C/H has to actually handle the dangerous creatures out there not just sneak around them or kill them. If this was implemented, I dont think they would, it should go in C/H and perhaps Ranger. Again, I think it is a cool idea but I dont see the devs putting this in.

In all seriousness, there are people in the world that subject themselves to small doses of poisoness venom on a daily basis so that they build up a immunity to the venom. When I was studying biology in college, my professor had been doing this for over 4 years. It is possible but in SWG I don't necessarily thing it is feasible to implement this. Although it is a good suggestion and would probably make us want to PvP more often knowing that we couldn't get diseased or poisoned, but the real fact remains. Whether we get poisoned or diseased, we would still die in a matter of 45 seconds to 2 minutes.

This person is correct, I remember multiple times in history where some king or another effectively inoculated themself against poison. Of course often this made it impossible for them to commit suicide when their people revolted but.....anyway, being in nature and being exposed to poisons and the like comes naturally to CH/ranger type profs, the mod might perhaps go under empathy (You have been close enough to your pets to become more resistant to their natural toxins) and even if we do still die quickly at least it wont be from having half our HAM blackbarred :/.

My fealings on the subject I am generally sick of poison and disease being in the game. Mostly because there is no counter measure and they are so increadibly strong.

I think there sould be athree fold solution. The entire armor system should get poison/disease resists. Just like we have heat cold electric resists on our armor. Player armor and pet armor should have poison disease resists.

There should be two types of disease/poison attack. One would be at attack like the weapons attack, and the other should be the state attack. Area poison should be a damage attack. One on one poison should be a state attack. No reason a CM should be able to waste 20 people with one attack thats just ridiculous in the first place. Nobody elses area attacks are this increadible. You simply have the disease poison hit like any attack on a player with the group attack. Disease probabally being more about wounding then say a poison. The one on one attack. The poison goes through the resists and still poisons, but say the armor is 55 percent resist, and the poison is 500 power. The poison should do 225 points of damage every time it spasms.

Allow players to use medic to treat poison disease. Perhaps a stimpack it dosent need to be terribly powerful either. I think most players would be happy with being able to use a stimpack like we use firstaid. Each use reduces the poison disease by half. That alone would remove the kamikazee cm from the game.

Just a point. Do you see where this could cause complaints among other professions?

Ohh yes this wouold cause a bloody uproar. Its akin to allowing everyone access to a profession specific weapon that is better than any weapon that profession can use............Ohh wait they already did that (AT-ST).

Still this would give us a reason to PvP.

I like the idea. Myabe for C/H and for rangers. Of course there should be some skills or benefits that would be prof specific. What about meditate, anyone can meditate right? Because of their special training over time TKA can meditate to heal wounds and damage and stat effects. It would make sense a C/H might get bitten once in awhile and be able to build up a resistance to some point for poison and / or disease. I know mediate is a skill but the concept would be the same. We are constantly around creatures that would and can bite us.
