. ive tested it in several forms of death but got vit loss every time with a multitude of different pets.
this should be posted in the pub 12 bugs thread. maybe if it is posted in the bug thread everyday, it will get noticed.

I've had some very bad experiences on Dantooine of late. Pet storing and pet not responding to commands. Pet storing was rampant in certain areas south of the lake in the SW region of the planet. Assumed it was due to server boundary. Then my pet stopped responding to commands when I was outside the Janta cave in the far SE region. I ran about 50m with my pet following before it started responding to commands again. Again, assumed it was due to server boundary issue.
But so far, it's only been on Dantooine that I've had these problems. Could be that I haven't been near a server border elsewhere.

This has been occuing on the Intrepid Server on almost all the planets. Three of the CHs in my guild including me have been having vanishing pet issues and non responsive pets. This seems to happen every couple of months.
When I started noticing this occuring to me on Talus -- 3-10 time in a days , I submitted 3 tickets to CRS with no response or anything.
I guess in general we are not care about.... If my pet Poof I amincap'd or dead!!!
Let s see how other combat professions would like if there rifle or pistol would poof out of there hand in middle of combat... or if there Armor dropped off of there bodies..... Man could you guess what the responses would be???
*getting tee'd off with NO one listening the CH Profession with Life and Death Issues**

Yeah, I continue to stress the severity of the pet poofing on the correspondent forum. This is something that's kind of hard to measure whether it's getting better, worse, or staying the same though. It seems to strike at random, but if it happens to you once it tends to happen a lot for the rest of that play session.

I suppose I'm probably not the best person to gauge the consistency of pet storing issues, since it's only been very recently that I've been using pets for serious fighting (as I grind up MCH on my alt). It's been happening far more than I ever remember, but then it's been a while.

It seems that old bugs' reappearance tends to correspond strongly with new publishes. It's almost like the developers go back to the original bug-infested code as the base for their enhancements, and then spend the next week or two squashing the same old bugs. And after a bunch of griping and frustration, eventually the problems get smoothed out... for a week or two when the next publish is due to be released. The current mess is true to form, with a major publish that came out just a week or two ago.

I noticed this same problem HEAVILY on dantooine two publishes back. Pets would vanish in the middle of a fight, but the datapad said I had to call them as they were not stored... to make matters worse, while calling it a day and heading back to Jammytown (on scylla) I ran into a group of Mokk shaman (whom I am not in good standing with as I used them to lvl Ch) and both my snakes stopped responding to commands, stopped fighting, but continued to take a pounding from those primitve heathens. I myself got incapped because I was too busy trying to get them (my snakes) to respond. Thinking if I got far enuff away after finally kiling the spear weilding horde that my pets would respond, they still would not store, even when commanding it from my datapad. I actually had to completely shut the game down, then fire it back up to get the pets back in my datapad (stored). Dant is the only planet i have ever had this problem, and my gurreck vanishing in EVERY single fight that same afternoon kinda got me heated enough to just shut the game off and go watch TV. Buffs are'nt cheap, especially when you buy them for you AND your pet, and then the pet goes poof, there goes the buff... Being relaitvely new to the game (4 months now) and even newer to the forums and the MCH inner circle, I am appaled at some of the issues that seem to be "blown off" or at the very least, the lack of concern from the devs to fix. It seems to me if they want us to play and enjoy this game, they'd give as much attention to us CH's as they do all the other prof's. It may sound silly to some of the wealthier membes who play this game, but I for one really can't see spending 15 bucks a month on a game who's devs wont fix the only part of it that brings me enjoyment. Just my two cents, but as always, I appreciate your sticking by us Vert and keeping us informed as best as you are allowed. Maybe they should make you a DEV.

lots of good pet storing issues brought up here this is why i have invested skill points in tka so i can defend myself and pets when this happens. No-one seems willing to look into this and like when u say how would a bounty hunter feel if his scatter pistol poofed out of his hand do u actually appreciate the severity of this bug. Hopefully the combat upgrade will bear this in mind when people choose a tka /ch or combat combination before they come down to heavy on ch - combat characters.

I'm not a creature handler, but I use a pet mount, and I noticed that now, as soon as we hit water when mounted (pet or vehicle), we're marked as swimming - therefore no attacks.
Is this a bug or stealth nerf?
(and I hope it wasn't due to the post I made here a few weeks ago... :/ )
