Thread: I posted this at the BE Forums, but I'd like CH opinions, too.

Good pet, I'd keep it.

Ok, this is strange & maybe I should be complaining to the BE board. I've been a MCH for about a year now. Once the BE's were able to make awesome pets my buddy became a BE & I helped him get DNA. took him 2 weeks to figure out the best mixes & now I have 2 CL67 gurrecks with 57% kinetic, light armour & 13k HAM. I also have a set of "twins" that are CL34 & CL36 Razor cats with 60% kinetic, light armour & 10K+ HAM (I can call them together).

Now, he has since quit BE having made everyone in the guild some awesome pets. I however recently thought that having a good mounted Cupa that could go with one of my twins would be a great idea. However, I have talked to a total of 16 MBE's & none of them have the DNA or the wherewithall to make a light armour pet with 60% kinetic in the CL34-36 range. They are all too lazy or stupid to do it. Lazy in that they say they need a big group to help them sample Mutant rancors & such.... um... if you have a big group... they will tend to kill the creature rather then wait for you to sample it. So it would be better to go off on your own to sample. Anyway, my rant on how dumb or lazy most BE's I've met are. This is Bloodfin by the way. I've even told them money is no object, but to no avail.

So... keep that pet, sampling it again will only get you a weaker pet. & for PvP? don't even bother.

Hey Nitetime, It's easy to make a 34-36 CuPu with those sort of stats,I just made a CL29 10/8/6 KHAMLigArm 60% Kin and 2 specials I can't rememberlast night and I still had 2 out of 5points of experiment left (I currently can only control level 29's, so didn't want the CL to go over that).

If you where on Intrepid I'd make one for ya if you where up to helping hunt down some MH's. Sorry to hear your BE's are too lazy.

Back to the orig post

Yup keep that one, to much risk in resampling high cl creatures.

Many BE's don't make custom pets period (including myself), no matter what the financial incentive.

It's difficult, dangerous and very, very time consuming.

That said, if they don't want to make custom pets they should just come out and say that (I do!) - giving a stream of excuses is a bit lame.

Your best bet is to ask a BE up front if they make custom pets. If they say "No" then fine, but you may get lucky, there are some BE's who specialise in custom pets. Ask around and try not to be too pushy.

(All BE's have had to put up with a the "I want a CL35 Kimo with maximum resists and 13K HAm and I'll pay you 10K for it" customer, who will argue for hours that it is possible and 10K is a reasonable price..........)

As a BE i would be very careful about trying to gen that, since its a CL55 the chance of getting 5 samples is pretty slim, and it would truly suck ot get 1 or no samples from it as it is hard to get DNA

I'd have to agree, the pet IS already good, don't get greedy cause chances are the sampling process will kill it and leave you with one, or no samples.

Ya, I don't doubt that there are alot of cheap @sses out there. but I don't sell wild pets for that cheap let alone an uber BE pet. Being a Multi-millioniar, as I said, I would be willing to pay upwards for half a mill for that pet but as I said, there seem to be no takers & I'm really losing interest in the idea now anyway. Oh well, thanks for that input anyway.

I've been a BE since game launch (well after climbing the trees of course). The CL55 animal is nice. Pets are only valuable in PvEbattles anyway. No animal, regardless of the stats will make much difference in PvP. dealing out 25% damage while they take 100% makes them pretty worthless. They hit the floor faster than Michael Jackson in a prison cell.

As far as BE's being lazy or stupid I'd have to disagree. I've made custom animals for people just to have them say "yeah, that's a nice animal but can you make it with more damage and different specials?" or something very similar. Its not worth the time and effort. Instead, I specialize in making animals I've studied and perfected. You'll be hard pressed to find a custom builder anymore. Mind you, that doesn't make them lazy. In my book it's basic common sense.
