Hmm, I need to go hunting for kima then. What planet are they typically found on? I normally hang out on Tatooine, so I don't see all the cute animals.
However, I did have a nice appreciation for the jax when I was on Endor. They are darned cute. I took a CL 13 jax (I think it was the punching jax or something). There are quite a few varieties of jax out there.
And a jax also meows in the cutest way. I'll just stand in a starport and spam:

I am very partial to GSPs, mainly because one of my first tames was my first GSP, Butch, who I tamed my very first night as a CH, and is my favorite pet, especailly now that I've had to give up MCH and six boxes to appease the hologods. The attact animations are awesome, jumping up in the air and batting around with front paws. Even though they've been nerfed, AGAIN, down to 35% kinetic resist, they're still the best mid level tank in the game. WIth my medic skills I can keep them stimmed up in a prolonged fight if I have to, but I am careful to not allow them to get overextended. I know my limitations and those of my pets and act accordingly.
The CRC uses the same model, but it a bit smaller full grown than a GSP (The biggest cat in the game once they downsized the cowardly gurreck) but they have a wonderful red color to their coats, approrpriate for their name, Crimson Razor Cat. They're very aggressive, and while their HAM is greater than a GSP they have lower kinetic and other resists. They do deal a lot more damage than a GSP does, and are aggro, CL 29 critters.
But the points about the kima are well taken. The kima animations are great, the attack meow is hilarious, and they're such little things; my hilltop kima is CL 22 with 8000 HAM...it never fails to draw comments from those nearby who check the HAM and can't believe so much is packed into one little tamed in the wild body.
The only drawback to the kima model is that they're much slower than the wrix/GSP model cats. I can have one of the big cats follow along behind and keep up with me in my X34.
sounds like i need to get a few more boxes and get a kima, novice ch is pretty lame creature wise. I was spoiled by my non-ch uber pet lol i had for 3 days.
Well I am a doc, so I can buff em, but to be TK/CH/DOC i will have to give up master doc and the speed line (yikes no more cure poisen and cure disease! I use those alot on my planet of dantooine!).
I just went to the creature website and printed out all the pets that looked good, mostly cats. This is what i found:
Wrix: CL-12 HAM -1300 DMG -140max

Derranged Wrix:CL-18HAM -2700 DMG -190max (so a sludge is better then this one really)
DomestPlainTusk:CL-18HAM - 5500 DMG -180max
Hilltop Kima: CL-22HAM -8000 DMG -210max (10% resist & dizzy)
FemRazor Cat:CL-22HAM -5500 DMG -240max (10% resist, Dizzy & Blind)
Bocatt:CL-22HAM -7000 DMG -210max (10%, stunStrike & Kripple Strike)
Grand Wrix: CL-25HAM -6500 DMG -220max (30-50% w/ KD and intimidate)
Grand Wrix has good specials but not very impressive HAM, I am sure there are better CL 25 cats but I stopped going up there cause I know I wont ever have enough CH boxes for more and plus I wanna have 2 out which limits me more.
The deranged wrix, as best I can tell, is extinct as a baby species.
Mottled wrix kittens still lounge around Corellia and Talus, though.
The light armor nerf settled the which is better? GSP or grand wrix? controversy.
It's the GSP with the 35% resist and 8000 HAM. Both are CL 25 now.
it seems like i've always had a cat of some type in my datapad. my alltime favorite is the gurreck (i got to wild ones). but cats i've had are...
Z-the GSP a friend gave me when i was first able to handle him (still have him too). he'll always have a home.
KittyKitty- female swamp cat (i released her along time ago, i rememebr the day)
Lucky- my first gurreck, the second one still needs a name (both in the data pad)
2 BE nargath (sp)- when the second one grows they will be one hell of a 1-2 punch cl 69 combo.
Gunther- GSP, released him cause he was bugged, every incap he lost vitality and took way more damage than he should have.
i've givin away so many wrix family cats to ppl in starports, i just HAVE to tame them. same with the old cowardly gurrecks. its sad now, i see all kinds of cowardly gurrecks now and i have to pass them up, no room in the data pad, and i can't GIVE them away. very sad days we are in.
