I tamed a frightened borgle for him, which fit the bill perfectly. It's not a pet for combat--it's just a pet to... um... be a pet. Really, after a certain level having a non-CH pet is pointless for combat reasons. But more players should take advantage of the pet slot just to have a pet for fun. There are a lot of interesting and unusual creatures in the game that nobody tames, but they should.
