You are right that you didn't say it right out that you want the CH profession nerfed. But by your replies, you are basically stating that you expect it to be nerfed and basically it sounds like you have pretty much already given up any hope that the profession will ever be worthwhile again. And telling new people that so they are afraid of the profession is not ever going to help it. You don't know what the devs have in mind any more than I do or anyone else does. You are just basing your opinions off the old system and how the profession was treated in the past. You can't base it off that any more because the entire combat system is different along with the profession. It is all changed. Don't discourage people and scare them away from the profession just because it was treated bad in the past and you personally have no hope left for it.

Like you, I have been playing this game since beta. I was one of the very first MCH's on the server and remained one almost my entire time playing the game. Finally when I decided to become a Jedi I had to drop it to do the massive profession grind. Once I did that grind and they changed it to the new improved village grind (yeah right), I dropped my other skills and got MCH back again. I have tamed creatures that don't even exist in the game any more and I have tamed creatures that are considered extinct (well before the CU anyway). So I am not just some noob to the profession that you can educate with all your wisdom of the profession or the game. I have played this game and this profession an extreme amount of time. I have mastered nearly every profession in the game and have mastered CH now 3 times total. I know this game well and I know this profession well.

I have been through the highs and lows of the profession. At the beginning MCH was easily the most powerful profession in the game. Then along came the big nerf. The CH profession has been ignored so long after the nerf that many people like yourself have just given up hope and expect the worst for the profession. That way it saves you from being disappointed yet again. I can completely understand that. The profession became nearly extinct and was completely ignored for a very long time.

Unlike you, I have never given up hope on the profession. I have wished forever that they would eventually make it into a viable profession again. That's why with the respec I switched back to it and traded all my pets off my Jedi to my alt to see how CH has fared in the CU. And to my surprise and excitement, I found that MCH/Name Your Combat Profession, is very powerful again. The problem is everyone expects their pets to be the tank. You can't expect that. You still have to be the tank and let your pets be your extra damage dealers. When you do that there isn't a single profession out there right now that is going to take you out.

Tonight just as a test, I duelled my sons rancor, just the pet against me. My son had to /endduel before the rancor killed and deathblowed me (the rancor pets db now if they incap you). I'm level 80 and that level 50 pet worked me over good. He still had 4k ham left when I was about to die. And my son just stood there and watched. He didn't help at all. Imagine if he was helping his pet. I would have gone down fast and he is only level 64 (against my level 80). And like I said before, I have yet to lose a PvP battle using my pets.

If you think I'm wrong about adjusting pet levels, go read the other forums that explain how the creatures work in the CU. All creatures are basically the same with a different skin. They operate and act the same way. You can't reduce the power of rancor pets and keep the power of rancors in the wild still up high. It just doesn't work that way. It is all based on level now and the pets are not tuned individually any more like they used to be. There is a ton of info on this on other forums. Go read it and you will understand why CH is powerful now and why it is going to be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for the devs to make it any different. It is plain and simple math.

I'm not trying to start any arguments or put any words in your mouth. I am just tired of all the whining and negativity against things that people have not even tried. They heard something or read something so they form opinions and complain about how weak MCH is. I'm just saying go out and try it now. Try some PvP. Try some PvE. You will find out fast that all your opinions on the state of the MCH profession are outdated and obsolete and that the profession is back as a very very viable profession again.

Ok just psted a winded reply forum bugs dumped it.

I say this for the last time. I never said anything as you "imagined" you have credentials of a mch since 2003, ok fine, you think I scare people away and am not helping ok fine.

The only people who will be intimidated by what I say is FOTM people who want an I win button, people who take ch up for the same reasons we all have inthe past, because its unique and fun, wont be scared but will be prepared for things to change, some change will be good some will be bad, Its a fact of life here and in the real world, expecting anything else is just plain childish.

Pet levels and creature levels have differences in combat, I think you need to read up more. Mobs have damage multipliers, the higher your cl the less damage they attack with. pets don't (right now). thats the difference in wild creatures and pets, In pvp we had something like this in the past, remeber damage reductions, It would be all too easy to have the modifiers placed into pets to some %. If a ch wins 90% of the time do you really think no one will care lmao. please. lol

One question, I guess you think mylack of caring and hope and whining and dislike for people in here is all to noticable in a few words I say. Must be nice to take 3 words out a sentence and come up with that opinion.

I ask if you are so caring and care about ch so much then where have you been all this time, where were you during the ideas, input, testing, debugging, and helping new and old ch for 2 years??

You see I can twist words and make accusations too, in the end it means nothing. It's below people to beahve in such a manner. Most people here know better than to listen to your accusations and insinuations.

For what it is worth we can go back and forth like this for days, you simply don't like me lol. People just won't say it here, and they judge every post with the opinions they base with emotions like that. I don't although i get anger'ed at some people I usually respect they're right to post what they want, I just don't reply. that is the way to deal with personality conflicts.

I have no ill will towards you, we simply disagree on what the future holds.

I wish you well in returning to the ch profession, may it be evrything you want
