I got my 4 (2 packleaders, 2 guardians) in one day with patience and determination while doing wild lairs between the science outpost and the NSvsSMC battlefield where they are quite common. It took a couple of lairs to do it and they weren't that hard for me to do, although the fact that I'm master riffleman must have something to do with it. Since I saw the babies often and I tamed 4 in a day, I don't consider the two species rare, just uncommon. The packleader babies are a little harder to find than guardian babies though.

having taming clothes equipped is of help when teaching commands too.
never needed more than 4 tries to get a command to stick.

I hate it too when that happens. I undertand if the baby gets aggroed to someone since theres really no choice except kill it most of the time. Most groups usually leave the baby alone if I ask or someone asks.

Wish I could agree, but my little spined puc named w.t.f took 4 tries on every command...I hope nobody think's he's too tough lol...

Man, I found a Guardian a few nights ago while group hunting enraged. I kept yelling "Don't kill the baby, please run away if you are agroed", and the idiots just killed him right there in front of me... /disband
