What I did, I picked up some lower pets, like my Kima, and went to dath, and since you're a pistoleer, you should be able to mop up Giant Baz Nitches with a FWG5, just keep some strong Pet Stim Cs 900+ strength, and Pick up novice medic if you can, and find some nice stim Bs, 400 powerish, and see if you can find a shirt with +25 injury treatment. I would suggest getting Taming IV, cause then you'll get your pets second special attack, which depending on the pet, can be really nice. With my kima, his second special is intimidate, so he takes 1/3 damage, then just get buffed, pick up some Giant Baz Nitches missions, they're 11k, and go to town, depending on your level of pet, my kima got about 500+ish xp per Baz Nitch, so it shouldnt take long, just make sure your pet stays at high health, but with you being a pistoleer, shouldnt be much of a problem. Try to only pull one at a time, makes it easier, and safer.
This will cost you alot in the beginning, mainly for the stims, but you get 11k per Baz nitch, and they're really easy with the FWG5. Another thing you can do, buy a Biopet, that's really buff, there are some non ch pets that rival 25+ level pets, they'll give you extreamly nice xp. I didnt use a BE pet till I got master, which took about 2 weeks, alot of time spent trying to find a gurreck and some other rare pets though. But if you grind it, it shouldnt take too long considering you're already 3/3/2/3, I'd suggest finishing your lines one at a time now, cause you get +5 max level of pets for all 4th boxes, so you can get stronger pets if need be.

Does anyone have any tips for how to level CH xp on a low population server like Infinity? You dont get the huge crowds of people levelling at the Geo Caves here, and Im not hologrinding it, but Id like to get CH finished before the Combat Balance, it looks like Rifleman is going to take a serious hit then, and Im having enough trouble levelling as it is.

GFoyle wrote:Been a while since I mastered CH (in combination with pistol - never went above pisoleer 0010), before the 2 pet XP nerf. That said - at the time I noticed that hitting mid-range beasties as opposed to the max I could handle netted considerably more XP. They would die quicker and do less damage to my pet(s). Net result was that although I got only half as much XP per kill, I was killing many more than twice as many.Experiment with hitting various levels of MoB - you'll eventually find a "sweet spot" in levels where you get optimum XP against time/kill - and this is definitely not the toughest mob you can handle!Good luck
There is a searchtime sweeet spot as well. I did more than half of my leveling on the yard trash on Naboo.
I would tame several babies and then send in one soon as a hit registered I would shoot the trash. 112xp every 10-30 sec that way. Much faster than even 1500xp per kill missions on Dant with hunting party and I didn't have to wait for the hunt to start.

Get a nice bio-engineered level 10 pet, and be a novice pistoleer. Go to Keren. You will get about 110 XP for each butterfly and frog that you kill. Let the pet do first damage. Use a macro. Select yourself, then cycle out to first target. If you are ATK, then follow the target. Tell pet to attack, pause about 10 seconds, to allow it to get the first damage, then attack target yourself. Harvest, if you have scout, and then heal your pet and have it do a trick. Repeat macro. Get a new pet if XP starts dropping off. You will probably wear out several pistols during this time. If you will be healing your pet, get some factory crates of stims. Getting a buff for yourself and your pet helps a lot, as you won't have to heal as often.

All I can say is that I feel your pain. I was a Master Creature Handler since September and dropped Creature Handler entirely about a week and a half ago due to being sick and tired of being utterly useless, even after mastering Bio-Engineer and making nearly an entire datapad full of pets made from the toughest creaturesyou can sample(mainly mutant rancors)...pets thatare normally priced in the millions. I love the profession..I think it's nifty..but it just..plain..sucks. Period. My sig says "Circus Ringmaster" because that is what we really are. Our creatures are not good for anything..maybe for killing feral banthas and for the amusement of watching two colorful monkies dance in unison for a few seconds, but nothing else. Anyone who says otherwise is truly blind and I pity them for not being able to see something so blatantly obvious.
Let me know when this profession can compete with the tanking/PvP ability of a Novice Artisan and I'll go and re-master it. But until then, my friend, I beg of you..DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME FINISHING THIS PROFESSION! I've had some protests with some buddies of mine in front of the Cantina in Bestine before, but I guess no one really gives a flying frick.

I did CH on noob monsters. I got a BE level 10 gurrek and just equiped a basic CDEF pistol and ran around a nooby town with the Gurrek in guard mode killing everying in my path. Granted I was only getting 30xp a kill or so. but the xp per hour was more than I could get soloing missions on advanced planets. But that was a long time ago when I did that. I would have to sayback in December or so. MCH is the only profession I have a badge for but its the 14th profession ive mastered.

General, couldn't you say that about every profession in this game? The only reason we hop from profession to profession is in the hopeless quest for one that hasn't been nerf-batted into the ground.
The cardinal rule of MMORPG's should be: Thou shalt not take away anything which has been given. In order to "balance" the game, give more content to others, but do not ever take away content from the game.

Totally off the wall segue but I have a question. I could care less if you AFK macro but whats the point? If the game is fun you shouldn't want to be away, if it's so boring you are macroing and then walking away why pay for the service?
