I love buffing up my Crimson Razor Cat and then running rebel faction missions.. So fun to send a 10k ham killer in to slaughter a group of imperial officers while I just set back and take popshots.

Pets can be buffed?! Nobody sent me -that- memo.

Um yeah
You buff the action, health, stamina and constitution, this way they have more HA and heal at a reasonable rate

And that is why I rarely get it done
- unless I'm grouped with the doc and he doesn't mind buffing again and again...

Buffed pets are awesome, but as stated above you can't store them or they lose the buffs. We should get this onto the list of things to address.

I gave up doc/cm to become ch, be, and 3001 rifleman. When I still had some doc left, I buffed my level 10 Bantha (10K HAM & 56% kin resist), and was able to take out enranged rancors as 0001 rifleman with a PuP'd T21. I was buffed, but unarmored. I probably could have done it unbuffed if I really wanted to. I took out three enraged rancors and a few "regular" rancors and did't get hit at all.
The trick is to tackle them one at a time (draw them out with bleeds if you have to). My bantha has high health, so-so action, and his lowest stat pool is mind. This macro really helps:

/tellpet trick;
/tellpet trick;
/tellpet trick;
/tellpet attack;
Definitely have that bound to a hotkey in your toolbar. It only takes a second to heal up your pet's mind and get them back on attack. The regen rates will be high for health and action bars once you buff the secondaries, but as someone mentioned above, pets can't get mind buffs. Beinga ranged profession, I need to keep my distance (50m for my T21). Walking up to the pet to apply a pet stim for a mind heal would take too long and wreck my to-hit modifier(s).

Its just a pain in the butt unless your hunting on dantooine corellia or tattooine I have steared clear of buffing my pets. I have enough pets to switch out and when I am buffed I rarely need a pet to decide the battle for me so its a moot point.
