I've never gone out rare-hunting but I did pick up a gurreck (cl50) pretty easily when I went looking for one. I had no idea they were somewhat difficult. Perhaps just finding spawns of them is the tough part. I love using gurrecks for BE samples and thats how I got a baby to spawn. I've also seen prowling gurrecks as babies but didn't bother with them cause they're not as good as gurrecks and I just passed over them.

I retired right after pub 1 when they took away my ability to run with lvl 56 pets, disgusted that they would rearchitect my favorite profession AFTER they had my money. I'm sorry, I was under the impression you were trying to build a community of creature handlers who worked together, found this information, and insured it's accuracy. Obviously I was mistaken.
Please do let me know where I've gone astray here, as I signed up for BEAST the other day and if this is an example of the leadership then I'll go right ahead and unsign up.
Edit: OK, so now I've gone through and read the thread and at least know which conversation Tivo chooses not to participate in. On Dantooine yesterday, I found 2 frenzied graul babies, in 2 different spawns, both within 3k of the imperial base while I was doing missions. Why did I not tame them?
1. I had 3, sold 2, and still have one so I don't need it.
2. I KNOW they're tameable because it says so on mine.
3. I had no room for any more pets, having 21 and am going to need to delete some for rares.
Ahh, "no screenshot, no proof" is likely going to be the reply. Why, exactly, would I take a screenshot of a creature I know to be tameable, having one in my possession and seen 2 babies in the last 48 hours?
Before it's asked..."Who the hell am I?" I was MCH when Vert was picked as correspondant, had the only Krayt and Ancient Rancorbabies in the beta, and was MCH within a week of release, thanks in large part to horrendous abuse of the Tusken Camp
My apologies for bringing up a subject you guys had dismissed, though you could have been a LOT more polite about it. I'll not bother this thread or forum any further and just go hunt my babies by myself

You are welcome here on the CH forums, as you well know, but this is a very sour subject in this community when the examine window does indeed state a tamable yes on many types of creatures, but there has been no proof of this presented to us in the, what is it? over 7 months that we have been trying to get an answer on it. And yes you are right the argument with the screenshots. We have been burned in the past before, being led on wild goose chases. In fact recently I started using the command /earthtime before I take a screenie, so I can show when the SS was taken. Anytime I see a baby that is high level or just plain uncommon, I now take a SS, just so I have proof to myself that I actually saw it, and if asked for it I can show it.
The examine window is.. well.. iffy at best. When the Bull Rancor started spawning babies, we have a screenshot of the examine window stating it is Tamable No, but the baby was right there on the screen.
After many months, we are very suspicious of any claims of certain babies, as we do not get any answers many direct responses to our questions from a certain Dev team. In fact a Dev has not been seen here since before the "Rebalance" as most of the threads regarding that were in the Discussion forum.
I guess I decided to discuss this issue a bit more.
We welcome you here, but you will have to understand our frustration and thin skinned nature over certain subjects. When you got hit with the first publish you left the game. Many of us here have stuck with it and have experienced every drop in our profession. You may have a new perspective by coming back, but we only have the one presented to us that we have unfortunately grown accustomed to.
One more small thing, and this is nothing against you, but with a forum register date of 7-1-03, I assumed that you would have already known of our issues regarding this topic. That was my mistake, I apologize for it.
