Thread: Fellow Creature Handlers, what do YOU want to see out of the combat upgrade?

1. I would like to see rideable cats, like gurrecks and sludge panthers that run FAST and don't get tired, and some horse-like creature mounts like the gualama and, of course, the ultimate mount would be the reptillian flier or some other flying creature.
2. Do away with vitality damage for pets and make some wild pets that are competitive with BE pets as far as stats and specials.

hou about an abillity to comfort wild Mobs? imagine youre in a group on Tatooine running missions... and then theres a Krayt spawn just infront of your group... "ah great" youll might say, but what will you say after CU? then its time for the CH to WALK closer to the Dragon and to Comfort it so that it issnt that agro and the group may can "move along"

Mobile home...crazy idea but I love it! LOL. But it reminded me of the Fambaa on Naboo. How about special rebel fambaas with the shield generators - I mean the rebels have to fight the Imps mighty machinery. Give the rebels nature's might.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You speak well for all MCH. I agree on everything. Don't you hate those pet stims? I agree 100% that pets should be able to regenerate besides storing them and trying to find those hard to find pet stims (at least in my galaxy - Sunrunner. No one it seems wants to be a bioengineer). Maybe as you said a resting command or feeding them. Food is much easier to come by than stims.

LOL! I see you have suffered as I have. Laying on the ground while you pet stands there looking cute. Many times I try talking to my pet - "just don't stand there you furball cat, ATTACK! Lazy pet! You're getting freed!"
It would be nice if they did autodefend. Even if they also got knocked down at least the pet went with you. How about getting cloned while your pet is still out on the field - hate it!

Plain and simple - since we all know creature handler IS a combat proffesion. It must be able to hold it's own in pvp and pve , with out the need for another combat class stickied to a template for it to work.
Example - Tkm can stand alone and doesnt need any other proffesion to help it be able to fight in pvp or pve. So you could have a tkm / dancer combo and do just fine. But you could not have a creature handler / dancer combo and hold up to much.
Example 2 - if I wanted to go master ranger/ master ch , it would take the bulk of my points to do so leaveing little for a combat proff. Could I fight effective in pvp or places like DWB or the corvette? Sure ranger isnt a combat proff - but ch is suppose to be. The answer as we all know is no .
Example 3 -any combat proff + master doc = very effective in pve and pvp, however replace master ch in either slot and can you call it equal to thecombo mentioned? Sure , nothing is 100% fair , but could we at least get in the same ball park together after all we are in the same game together.
Reguardless of what is said , or noted , creature handler is way below the mark and needs to made equal to the other classes

80% kinetic and electricity resists for tanking purposes. Then we'll have more CH's in the game. With 80% resists, we will see CH's taking back their role of tanking powerhouses. We'll have them tanking high-end content, etc... You shouldn't be able to get the same resists in the same pet. There should be multiple different pets for different high end mobs. Let me give you an example:
You're fighting a Nightsister Elder with a powerhammer. Your CL32 creature is currently vulnerable to blast. That pet is gonna go down like a bad habit. Now it's time to peace the Elder and call out the 100% blast pet. Same thing for Stun, Electricity, Kinetic, etc... but make it so only one or two of those damage types can be pulled.
Juvenile Canyon Krayt Dragons should be tameable and mountable. But cut down their damage, resists and creature level. Or at least allow BE's to sample Juvies, then create a juvenile with stunted growth. This will prevent them from being overpowered. Resists on the BE'd juvies should be as good as the BE can make them (example: 10k ham pet with 60% kinetic).

I really like most of the stuff mentioned, so I don't have much to add. I really like pet armor, pet IDing, more mountables, and anything that enhances our PvP abilities.
Cept how about making melee combat on mounts actually possible? The advantage of being mounted is negated when you have to close with the enemy to attack in the first place. Maybe give some kind of combat bonuses? Speed bonuses?Special training that you can give the mount specifically to be used in mounted warfare?
I've always wanted to mount a creature, something fast, and charge my enemies swinging my sword. TKs fighting on a mount might not be possible, but a pike?a Sycthe? The new fencer weapons? It would feel awefully cool. And since they are upgrading ranged proffs to give them longer range and stuff, meleers will havea much harder time closing with them to do damage. Mounts could solve that problem.
Just my idea from an MCH / M1h perspective.
Edit: Oh, also, how is it that a ranger knows more about creatures than CHs do? We should get similar bonuses. Also, wouldn't a CH know what kind of tracks creatures make, and be able to follow specific ones? In my opinion, we should have SOME kind of novice creature tracking abilities. Not NPCs, or players. Just creatues.

For the CU, I'd just like to see SoE fix the pet "warp" bug.
I've had this for over a year, but the last three publishes have made it happen much more often. Now the pet "disappears" about every 15 minutes, sometimes as often as every two or three.
For those unaware of what I'm talking about, it's where the pet disappears and leaves the group, but is still listed as unstored. The pet has jumped somewhere too far away to locate and can't be stored again for a minute (usually happens to me when I'm in combat and dependent upon the pet to tank).
Forget the other issues, just make CH work. THEN worry about adding functionality.

Forgive me for not reading all the posts....Been a Master CH since 9-03. So if I repeat prior stated Ideas forgive me pls.
1. Make Pets worthy again in PvP....we give up those skill points where we could train another combat skill. We should receive compensation in the form of tougher pets for PvP
2. Flying Mounts for Master CH's!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. More emotes for pets
4. Fix existing bugs for pet Specials
