well, I just talk to a friend of mine who said he got to do the quest and he wasn't a digital buyer, I have some theories on how the quest might be bypassed or able to do but Im pretty sure it wouldn't work

master creature handler status begins the quest, if i'm interpreting you correctly.

more-or-less on-topic: what i'd like to know is this: does hatching the varactyl eliminate the gigantic egg husk?

i have 2 accounts with mch one is digital the other total exp the digital could do the quest and the other just got weather chat.

this really makes me mad. I didnt get the digital download since I was planning a clean format of my HD and decided to just get the TE and install fresh. I thought everyone with the digital download got a CL10 varactyl or varactyl looking mount and the TE people got the BARC. Well I tried the quest and no luck. It sucks that the only MCH quest in the game is for DD buyers only. This seems like the only quest in the game that is like this.

Yep ... I have not seen anything that would suggest this is a bug ... you get the digital downolad of ROTW and are or get Master CH, you can do the quest. If you get the The Total Experience (which includes ROTW) you are SOL for the level 65 Varactyl!

ok 20 mill for my level 65 beast lol well not quite level 65 yet but growing fast. dont think i will mount him like how he looks without saddle. but anyways yeah its not cool that te cant do it but you guys got a barc which as good in some ways. and dd didnt. wish I had claimed both on the same server. oh well

Hoping this will be a quick fotfix with Publish 21 since were recieving allot of attention now.

Don't forget the CL10 Varactyl RotW gets that ANYBODY can use... Believe it or not, the BARC has actually been used as an arguement more than once to not allow CH with TTE the chance to get the CL65 Varactyl. However, that's just dumb as hell for 2 reasons. First, what kind of marketing is this? Do you think new players will be buying the individual sets or TTE? Second, anybody able to go to Kashykk are alloud to take the Bolotaur and Kashykk Bantha quest without problems. It makes no since to restrict the ONLY CH quest creature in the game.

Do you know of any other quest that has restrictions like this?
