I started my hunt for one of these bad boys today. My max level of creatures just increased to 55 last night. I headed out to the Lord Nyax compound. I've read that thats where they spawn. After setting a waypoint right in front of the compounds door right before server reset, I logged off about 200m away. Around 7:30 am I log back on and begin a search pattern. Doing circles around Nyax compound in 200m increments. I was just starting my 400m circle when I come across my first GPS ever. I killed him, and the 3 that spawned afterwards. No babies. I continued my search. I completed my 400m circle, did a whole 600m circle. Just started on my 800m circle when BAM! Theres another one. I called up Masamune and Murasame (my twin Greater Sludge Panthers) and we did battle with the beast. I killed him, then another one. Then on the third,what pops up, but a yellow triangle. I paused a few seconds to let it go red. 5 seconds, 6 seconds, 7, 8, 9, 10. It stayed yellow. I tabbed over to it, and the title says "Great Plains Stalker (Baby)". I backed off about 60m. Put away Murasame and Masamune, and re-did my mask scent. I slowly walked up to him. Tame 1 failed. Tame 2 failed. About this time I start worrying that he might aggro me, so I hit peace, and unequip my weapon (I'd rather die, clone and come back for a second shot). Tame 3 sticks. I see those beautiful green letters. WP 923 228. Server = Bloodfin. Good luck to all those still hunting.

Congrats!! Stories like this make me glad I've stuck with CH, slowly doing it at my own pace and never grinding it out halfassedly. I look forward to finding my own GPS one day

They are on the coolest pets in the game and have one for both my master ch and my Jedi master ch. They are such wonderful creatures and am sure you will value yours as much as I do mine.

actually, the opposite for me. i've been looking for one of these for months and seeing that people are finding them on thier first time out is discouraging

Congrats on your tame! Finding mine recently was a highlight of my CH career spanning over a year.

I really think that the increase in GPS tames recently is tied to the once-per-day POI spawning. I suggest any CH looking for a GPS try the area before this is fixed. The lack of people tracking over the area makes itmore likely that -you- are going to generate the spawns.
