I bought a BE Kimogila a year ago.
I recently made Master CH and am unable to tame it.
I was using +25 taming pants, +14 taming shirt, +14 taming vest, and +5 creature taming skill tape and it says I am unable to tame this creature.
Kimogila
HAM 14500
all other stats ( con, str, focus, etc) 40
does over 1k damage.
does not have a creature level listed anyplace.
I have asked other CH and they have no clue.
If anyone knows what level this Kimo is or why I can't tame it, please let me know.
thanks,

Sounds like it was made before the BE revamp... probably over level 70, which is why you can't tame it. Basically its one really nice house decoration... BTW the modifiers to taming only stack up to +25, so the pants do that all for you and everything else doesn't help your modifier at all... just fyi...

er... the +25 taming improves your CHANCE to tame something... not the LEVEL you can tame.
but as noted above... probably over CL70.

Pre BE fix Kimos are not tameable at all. I believe they were CL90 or there abouts. Never did understand that one. I guess they made good furniture for Guild Halls.

BTW, you can have a maximum total of +25 to taming wild/vicious from clothing mods, any you have over +25 doesn't do anything so you might want to ditch the excess ones. You might want to get a mask scent/camo piece of clothing to help you sneak up on babies.
I think the Kimo is good for furniture only. It can't be made like that nowdays so it has some uniquenes value to it.

So, my +24 sage's hood, +25 battle padding, and +15 waist strap all don't work at the same time even though it adds on?
Man, that stinks.

Yes, the cap for any +skill is 25. It will show a higher number when you check you skills but the code is capped at 25. So, you get the same results with +25 as you do with +100. The cap is per skill. So, you can be +25 taming +25 mask scent and so on.

If your feeling spunky and really wanna know what level it is, if only just for kicks, show it to a master ranger. they should be able to see what level it is (in theory). Keep in mind that reguardless, the minimum level for a BE'd Kimo is 70.

Nice Kimo
. Mine is a lvl 70 with 12K HAM. So I would say yours is definatly higher than that, being you can't tame it and all. I would love to know what lvl it is. Have u found out yet?

you can have kimos down to like level 40. It looks as if he meant to say you cant tame anything OVER level 70? maybe? At any rate, that would be the correct thing to say.
