Thread: camp healing

just a question or suggestion to help with pet healing, why do camps not help with the healing process on pets? This would seem like something that would have been implemented already. I dont think that is too much to ask and would help in the field alot.

I don't remember the devs saying they were going to alter the rate of healing the camps do so is it a bug or not? The camps heal half as fast as they did before the patch.

Actually I think it is still the same.


I used to drop 10 wounds every 4 minutes or so in a FB. after the patch I drop 5 Wounds every 2 minutes. It seems the same to me over all.

Yes. The total healing over time is the same. The heal pulse and the amounting of healing has been shortened and XP is a little bit faster. So you heal half as many wounds in half the time and gain XP a little quicker. Why? Some people didn't like sitting in camp for 5 or 5 1/2 minutes before something happened. Also, some people are picky about having wounds at all and wanted and wanted to heal 15-30 points without having to wait for 5 mins.

You heal faster but I doubt you get xp quicker. Last night: 20 wounded people, 10 mins, 1100xp. Today: me fully healed, 30 mins, 1125xp. (both using field base)

You're maxing out the XP on your FB camp. You should get the full 1125 XP in 20 minutes solo. At least that's what I'm getting.

I know there's a xp cap on the camp, but it seems weird that I got less xp while in a big group than while soloing.

You're right. The stats you posted for camping with that many people seems extremely low. I don't know what to tell you. I solo most of the time. I have five IRL friends that get together and hunt once in a while, and I drop a few camps. I am by no means an expert on XP rates for having multiple people in camp. However, that seems really low.

According to my text window, the healing pulse is still 5 minutes long (I have timestamp on), even though I only heal 5 wounds per pulse. Of course, I'm using a basic camp kit and not a ranger camp. Does that make a difference now? Has anyone else noticed this? Originally a basic camp kit healed 10 wounds every 5 minutes, now it's only 5 wounds every 5 minutes.

WithoutNovice Medic skills, which I believe many of us had to drop to stay Master Ranger / Master Combat Profession. I've gone back to depending primarily on my camps for healing. I'll always been a fan and regular user of camps for the RP aspect but I looks like they will have a more important part in the game in general now. Certainly for us, hopefully for other players as well.


I thought this would be a good place to document the healing rates of the camps and see if it has changed (although I had Novice Medic and /tendwound for so long I don't remember what the pre-cu rates were). So far I've only tested the HTFB, if other have pre- or post-CU info, please add it.

target the cloning terminal and type /clone and you can store your clone even if you can't "see" it while trying to clone via the radial. You can also target the insurance terminal and type /insure all. I find these a heck of a lot faster than the menu version anyway.


If you remember to clone, it seems the wounds you get in battle now are low enough the camp heal rate is sufficient for relatively short downtime.

Ack, is it really that slow? Dunno about you but I'd rather go find a medic than sit in camp for an hour - when I was slain uninsured last night I got about 140 wounds. (couldn't clone on planet 'cos terms were broken)

Last night while hunting Krayts.


I cloned when we got swarmed by 3 juvies and a Grand Krayt well.....


I cloned with 1 BF 1 Wound.


My daughter cloned with 100 BF and 100 wounds, Our Friend cloned with 100 BF and Wounds.


So I used camps last night while waiting for krayts to respawn and as a spot for my daughter to BE experimenting pets while we waited.


So over the course of the hunt wounds slowly were taken care of while camping.


Yes I know its not much of a use for camping but it is a use non the less.
