ROTW releases on the 5th with the new mount. It should come in deed form and have to be tamed. Sure anyone can tame them... BUT they will need a CH to MOUNT them! This is OUR chance to be a little greedy and keep one pet to ourselves as mounts. I'm on Sunrunner and do not plan on mounting any of my friends mount or anyone else who asks me. Its ez...
Just politely say "I will saddle any mount you have... EXCEPT for that one" and leave it at that.
If they ask why... "The ch community is keeping one mount for themselves... If you want to mount him... become ch".
If they continue to bug ya.. just politely ask them to stop "greifing" ya. Thats usually a conversation ender.
Sooo... IF its a mount for non-ch's as well... it will be a level 10... fastest growth period will be in 4-5 days. Its possible to have him mounted by May 10th. Normal slow growth that most people are lookin at least 7-8 days and that will put them past theRespec. When the periodends they cant Respec and do it them selves. Respec should end by the 11th or 12th. Until they are large enuf for people to mount... keep tellin people that they are "not large enuf yet" and not the "I wont do it reply". Dont commit to mounting them at a later date. By that time that is is ready to mount... it will be entirely too late for them to Respec... CH's will be the only ones with the new mounts. It will only work thou if we agree upon it and get the word out to other ch's to stand their ground. Dont cut yourself as a CH and nerf yourselves for an opportunity like this!

something tells me if a TKM/MD pre orders ROTW, when he logs in, he will have that mount in his datapad mount ready. Otherwise, it would not be so good now would it? they have touted this thing too much to make us needed for a command for it.

Unfortunately this is a very bad idea, if the mount is given to the entire community, and we refuse to mount them, then it could turn out that the abillity to train a mount be dropped to a non-CH level... is that an outcome we'd wish to see?

You totally wasted your time posting this as the rewards come premounted, that aside your idea is selfish and non productive to the CH profession. There are plenty of mounts that cl to high for non-ch

If anything I would view these pets to be like a gateway drug. They can introduce people to the wonderful world of in game pets. If they have a pleasent expierience with a CH at the same time it could, if not make them desire to become a CH, encourage them to respect our profession and our companions.
With that said, I would expect the creature to be able to be called by any player and already be mounted. After all you imported this creature from another planet, why wouldn't it have already been tamed?

There is a Master CH only mission that will allow you to get the mount that will be a better version then the one given out for free.

besides, there are CH only mounts as it stands now. If it is above lvl 10, only a ch can use it, to the best of my knowledge, there are a few creatures that are above lvl 10 that rea mountable.

I've been playing a MCH on test center RoTW. There is a lvl 65 varactyl mount you can get by doing a small quest (kill a specific varactyl as part of the quest), it grew up from lvl 1 to 65 in about 5-10 minutes.. only problem i had was when i stored it and tried to call it again later I was told i couldn't tame it

No, on the test center i just loaded up on stormtrooper armour, a rifle or two and headed out to kashyyyk.. It's lvl 65, already in my datapad and I can't call it from the datapad without the error message saying i can't tame that, popping up

There are a number of CH-only mounts. When RotW hits the new Bolotaur will be a CH-only mount. This is one near looking lizard in my opinion... and it will definitely be considered a mount that only CH can have. Like others have said though, it's selfish not to share the wonderful world of CH with others. That's part of being a CH. Non-CH can't ride the CH pets unless they have them made by a BE... and even then only the dewback, bol and brackasetwould be available. And I doubt they're going to add Bolotaurs to the BE list.

Don't forget everyone's favorite non CH mount, the Cu Pa.
